My friend had her son just one day after Rylan was born. It's been great chatting along the way as the boys grow up. They are so different in their personalities, the way they learn things - yet similar in other ways. We get the boys together every couple months and do something fun. It would be so cool if the boys could grow up being friends!

Growing so fast!

Rylan is about 8 1/2 months and continues to amaze us. He has started doing so much and is very mobile now. Crawling, pulling up on everything, and curious about all things. We've loved every minute and know that things just get better and better! Here is a video of him using his walker.

We've had so much fun watching Rylan grow. He smiles all the time, has favorite toys, and notices mommy & daddy! During tummy time he rolled over for the first - it was so cool!

2 Months Old

Rylan is now 2 months old and doing great! Weighs 11 pounds 11 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches long. He is a growing boy . . . he flashes smiles all day long and loves looking at his mommy & daddy, along with our fan and kitchen lights. Its so funny what can calm him down at times. First Bath

Rylan got his first bath today - on his 3 week birthday. :-) My sister came over and helped out with his bath. Rylan did wonderful - he enjoyed every minute of it! Can't wait for his next bath!

Welcome to the World

My due date was June 1 and Rylan was right on track. We ended up leaving for the hospital Tuesday night (June 1) around 10:30. After a long wait, with epidural (that is one amazing drug), he arrived into our world the next morning. It was an exciting night waiting with family and friends with us. He has been a wonderful baby and we've enjoyed every minute. Rylan is now a week old and has enough pictures to document his every movement I think - our family loves to take pictures. :-)

A little background on his middle name: We combined my grandfathers first and middle name (Karl Max) and developed Marx.

June 1st is a BIG day!

We've really surprised our family by announcing that a new baby is on its way! Doug and I are expecting and couldn't be happier! The baby is due June 1st - which is the perfect date for being a teacher :-) I should make it through the year before the little one arrives. We have to wait one more month before finding out if the boy theme continues or if a lil girl will be added! Can't wait to see what lies ahead for us!
