carrie fisher & barry morrow

 you all know what a star wars nerd i am. well, i was hired, again, this year to shoot the peek awards for the utah film center. i got to see barry morrow, again (the director of the award winning rain man) and this year i got to meet carrie fisher. i did not just meet her. i had dinner with barry and carrie, rode in the van with them, photographed them and had intimate conversations with them. my friends greg and michael joined me that evening. at the end of the night carrie sprinkled her special glitter all over us. it was a magical night.

halloween

 jack was captain hook and lucas was smee. eunice made lucas' hat and uncle adam provided most of jack's costume. the theme for the cousin's this year was peter pan. blake was a pirate and i was a lost boy. after trick or treating we had pizza and hot cocoa at the palmer's house.

jack's first day!

 
jack's first day of pre-school in september 2012. he cried for a couple of weeks, but is now loving school. they serve kool-aid at snack time and jack always asks for water....makes mommy happy that he did this on his own!

these boys love each other! this was a photo of lucas' first time at the dentist. he was a model patient. 

jack turns 4!!!

for jack's 4th birthday, we took him to the zoo with his brother and friend, ella. that night uncle adam verboon flew in, from california to celebrate! that saturday we had a big party at our art studio, where we had a professional puppet show. his dino cake was awesome!

my monkey's at the zoo

blake and i took the boys to the zoo for their first time. my friend, katherine, and her daughter ella joined us. we were lucky and she had a pass that got us in for free. it also got us on the train and carousel for no cost. jack's favorite animal was the rhino. he said he loved their horns. lucas loved the monkey's and the bats. we are going to go back soon since the boys had so much fun exploring and learning.

easter palmer style.

the boys really enjoyed easter egg hunting with their cousins, this year. we have an egg hunt and dinner at the palmer's house, every year. the boys have no interest in eating hard boiled eggs. they do LOVE the candy filled eggs, though. we had a nice family dinner with our extended family. even my grandparents were able to make it! the boys got some art supplies for easter and had a blast finger painting last night.

oh, yes. we decided to do star wars themed easter eggs. we hand drew on the eggs and it took us about 5 hours.

on march 29th, we took the boys to our art studio. i wanted to get some photos in their easter outfits. i spent about 2 minutes with each boy and they gave me great smiles. after that they wanted to color. they LOVE coloring. lucas is quite the budding artist. jack drew me a beautiful tree. the boys love being at the studio. they have all sorts of art supplies and an easel there. they also have a fun box of toys, including all of their star wars toys. sometimes they have me put on a movie for them or they sit and "read" books. earlier in the week jack took a tumble and knocked one of his teeth back into his gums. he is ok and the dentist said he should be fine. lucas surprises us everyday with what he knows. some days he counts to 10 and will point out certain letters. these boys are amazing and they are so much fun.
