Lay Your Weight On Faithful Love

Image

"Cast your burden upon the Lord
and He will sustain you;
He will never let the righteous be shaken."
Psalm 55:27

Good morning.

We are nearing the New Year.

As I contemplate this past year
my heart is all gratitude for
the Lord's faithful love and guidance.

Not one single day passed
that we did not receive enough
from the Lord's Hand to meet every need.
Image
He fed us in simplicity.

He tenderly comforted each
need of our hearts.

Every tear was wiped.

Every fear was calmed as
we turned to Him.

Our prayers in the middle of the
night were heard and met.

We have seen His faithful Hand
at work in all our needs.

He never left us.

He never forsook us.

This is our testimony
concerning His faithfulness
to our family for 2025.

He was found sufficient for
all of our needs.

I hope you will declare the
works of the Lord in your life also.

Speaking of His goodness
brings hope to others.

Hallelujah!

We expect His love and care
to be sufficient every hour of this
upcoming year once again.

We have walked with the Lord
for many years and have found Him
sufficient for all our needs.

During trials
or
 simple every day concerns,
He has sustained us.

As our Psalm says today,
"He never lets the righteous be shaken."

Not that we are steady in ourselves,
but, as we run to Him we find our
hearts are stilled and comforted,
we are not shaken and broken.

We will find Him sufficient
in this unknown New Year once again,
because He keeps His Word.

Before this New Year begins,
let us speak truth over our homes
and our lives and the lives of those
we love and pray for.

God WILL sustain us.

We shall not be shaken...
nor through tears,
not through valleys,
not through darkness
not through sudden change.

We shall not be shaken.

We shall turn to the Savior
and
we shall be sustained by His strength.

Jesus IS Lord of all.

Jesus will never leave us.
He will never forsake us.

He hears our prayers for
our loved ones and He,
in His wisdom,
is doing what He deems best.

We will let Him
lead us and our loved ones
day by day.

And we will find Him sufficient.

After over seven decades of life
I can share that He has always
cared for me and for those I love.

He has always answered prayer,
in the way He deems best.

Times of trial have always
served His purpose in my life.

And looking back
I would not trade my trials,
because I have seen His Hand
at work in every challenge.

Let's prepare our hearts
for this beautiful New Year
that lies before us
by focusing on His faithful love.

The Cottage At Christmas 🎄

Image
It was a beautiful Christmas
at the cottage this year.

We are thankful for the
peace and simplicity of home in this world...
Image
It is a blessing to share
the simple gifts of
food and family as
we focus on celebrating
the birth of Jesus..
Image
In the evening we shared tea
and a quiet reading.

The handmade cardinal dish
was my gift from my daughter...lovely,
The tea a gift from a son...
Harney's Vanilla Camoro ...very nice...
Image
...the fresh pears with our tea were in a fruit gift box
from another son and daughter in love.

Our book--
Ruth Chou Simmon's
"Emmanuel An Invitation To
Prepare Him Room At Christmas And Always"...

...sharing this quiet moment was
a gift in itself...

Our little Ruthie loved her
Christmas day.
She got turkey in her
dinner bowl, then went
on a happy doggy walk...

She's a happy girl...

Christmas comes wrapped in
many different situations.

For some, there is pain and sorrow,
for some there is loneliness,
for some there is chaos
or tired weariness
for some exuberant joy.

We have experienced many
types of Christmas days over the years.

The one constant and steady joy
that has held our hearts in peace
has been the quiet love of the Savior.

If Christmas didn't "feel" the
way you had hoped, I pray you find
the joy of Jesus as you enter this new year.

He is sufficient for every need
of our hearts.

Create beauty this year in your life and home.

Teach your heart to be grateful
in all circumstances.

You are the only one
who can make your life beautiful.

It will come step by step
as you focus on the Savior
and rejoice in all things.

Life isn't always going to be
easy this new year.

But it can be peace filled.

No matter what occurs.

We cannot control life.

We can control our thoughts
and create a quiet refuge in our homes.

A beautiful life is created
by a beautiful heart.

I am praying for you
as you begin this brand new year.

Grace and peace to you.
