We were scheduled to have a c/s on October 10th but Brynn had a different plan so on September 29th at 8:02a.m. our lives changed forever...again! :)
September 28th
8:00p.m. - Started getting a lot of Braxton Hicks nothing to painful just very frequent.
10:00p.m. - Josh and I head for bed but I keep getting up to go to the bathroom cause the baby is moving around like crazy. Every time I get to the bathroom the contractions start to be a little more painful but I am still able to go back to bed and at least lay down for a bit.
September 29th
12:00p.m. - 3:00a.m - Contractions start to get closer together (about 5mins apart) only now I am pacing around the living room actually having to hang on to something when the contractions come, and I am now having to actually focus on breathing through them. I am still in denial that anything is actually happening and that it's another false alarm but I decided to call the doctor anyway. I headed outside in the backyard to walk around hoping perhaps that would help...yeah no...lol. Doc calls back and after having to breath through a contraction on the phone with him he tells me to get my booty to the hospital.
4:00a.m.- I get to the hospital and back to triage where they check me to see that I am still 2cm but on the monitors I am having pretty strong and long contractions every 3-5min. They call the doc who says to put me on heavy IV fluids (hoping it would slow down and maybe even stop the contractions) and check me again at 6a.m. Meanwhile I am breathing through the contractions which by the way felt very different from when I had Claire. Of course with Claire my contractions were pitocin induced so they were much worse. These were no walk in the park either but they were a bit more tolerable.
6:00a.m.- Contractions are now about every 3min and after checking me the nurse says I have progressed to about 4cm. Well when your plan is a repeat c/s progress is NOT something you want. I was for real in labor!! I just want to say that I was shocked I went into labor on my own. With Claire my water broke and labor never ever came unassisted. Anyway, so around the corner comes the nurse who had just talked to the doctor to tell me that they were bumping the 8a.m. c/s and that we were set to head to the OR at 7:30!! WHAT?!! So you mean to tell me we are going to have this baby in less than two hours? I was once again in shock.
7:00a.m. - With my amazing husband at the hospital and Claire dropped off safe and sound with Grandma and Grandpa, I could finally start to wrap my brain around what was happening. Nurses, doctors, and anesthesiologists are coming in and out doing the standard surgery prep stuff only at a little quicker pace. I was still worried about having a "high spinal" again but the anesthesiologist assured me that she has only seen that happen to moms who had already had an epidural earlier in the labor so I take a deep breath and try to put that worry out of my mind.
7:30a.m. - It's go time! Josh is all suited up and handsome in his royal blue scrubs, he is then escorted to the "waiting chair" while I go in and get the spinal. They roll me in and have me scoot over on the operating table. (meanwhile through all of this I have still been having knarly contractions about every 5min but I knew with the spinal the end was in site!!).
7:45a.m. - The spinal has stayed low like it is supposed to and this is already a 180 birth experience from last time. Josh gets to come in and we hold hands and anxiously await our little girls debut.
8:02a.m. - I hear those healthy lungs belt out a cry that sent Josh and I both into immediate tears! Brynn Carmina is here and letting the whole world know it!! :) They hold her up over the curtain and all I can see is TONS of hair!! They bring her around my left side to the warmer and within minutes she had already pooped and peed...lol. She weighed in at 7lbs 9oz and 19.3 inches...holy big baby!!
Recovery from the c/s this time has been a piece of cake! We are all at home now adjusting to being a family of four. Claire is an amazing big sister and loves to help out Mom and Dad whenever she can.
When I started this blog I had no idea when and IF we would ever be able to fulfill our dreams of having another baby. Now here we are truly blessed with another beautiful baby girl, miracles do happen and we are truly one of the lucky ones! Pics to come!!
"And thank you for a house full of people I love. Amen."

37 Weeks....Full-Term!!
How far along: 37 weeks..Full-Term!
Size of baby: With just three more weeks to go and at about six and a half pounds (though weight and height vary from fetus to fetus), your baby is doing just fine. You can expect weight gain to be about half an ounce per day. Since your little one is considered full-term at37 weeks, if your baby was to leave the wet nest this week, he or she would likely thrive. That's because Mother Nature and you have done such a fine job!
Sleep: The last week sleep has been horrible, not because of baby but because of my little battle with strep throat :( Finally manged to get more than an hour at a time in last night, since the antibiotics are starting to work.
Weight Gain: 27lbs....ugh...
Movement: I am pretty sure she got her foot stuck under one of my ribs the other night...lol...I heard a little pop and she finally moved it over...that was way weird...but recently just a lot of rolling more so that kicks.
Symptoms: Contractions have actually subsided, I attribute it to being off work for four days and actually doing the relaxing that a should be doing for as pregnant as I am!
Food cravings: So we are back to cheese and salty foods.......
Gender: Girl ♥
What I am looking forward to: I am pretty excited for the growth u/s tomorrow!! I have not seen this little one since I was 19weeks! Hopefully I will get some good pictures to post tomorrow!

36 weeks.....
How far along: 36 weeks! and 2cm dilated! Doc actually said she wouldn't be surprised to see me at the hospital this weekend or sometime next week....whoa.....BUT if I do make it to next Tuesday's appt. they will be doing an u/s to see how big little miss Brynn really is :)
Size of baby: Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks)

Sleep: Hmmm...not so much...contractions come and go pretty much anytime I roll over but in between I catch a few winks here and there.
Weight Gain: 27lbs....ugh...
Movement: You know that scene from Alien?? Yeah it's like that....lol
Symptoms: Swollen ankles, lots of contraction, breathing is actually getting easier since she dropped though!
Food cravings: So gross I know but...Fillet of Fish from McDonalds....nom nom nom....
Gender: Girl ♥
What I miss: My ankle bones....I know I seem a little obsessed with this but seriously of all of the gross things that you see and deal with during pregnancy the swelling bothers me the most...weird I know.
Words of Wisdom: Well now that we are getting to the end the reality that I will never be pregnant again or be part of a family of only 3 again is starting to sink in....it's a lot to wrap my head around......

35 weeks...35/35!!!
How far along: 35 weeks! otherwise known as 35/35 (35 weeks .....35 days til my due date!) minus 7 for the c/s and you get 28 days...o m g....
Size of baby: Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pound. Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
Sleep: I am only getting up a couple times a night now for a potty break due to the fact that I think she is sleeping more at night! Let's keep that habit up when you come out girly! :)

Weight Gain: 24lbs....this is getting crazy.....
Movement: You know that scene from Alien?? Yeah it's like that....lol
Symptoms: Eating a full or even a half of a meal is becoming quite a task. I am always super hungry I just have to eat super slow and not as much because space is becoming limited.
Food cravings: Current addiction would be popsicles....I could prolly eat 3 of those red, white and blue ones at one sitting...
Gender: Girl ♥
What I miss: I am totally ready to re-claim my body!
Words of Wisdom: I am officially giving Brynn her 30-day eviction notice!! :)

34 Weeks.....
How far along: 34 weeks!
Size of baby: Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well.
Sleep: BH contractions like to kick up at night usually after I lay back down following a potty run...they subside after about 10min and I am usually able to go back to sleep. Hip pain is really bad and causes me to flip flop from one side to the other almost hourly...so yeah sleep...what's sleep?

Weight Gain: 24lbs....this is getting crazy.....
Movement: She is still pretty active for as cramped as I know she is!
Symptoms: Breathing is still very hard, especially in the morning. Back to a little bit of nausea caused mostly by the lack of space for food and or digestion.
Food cravings: I actually have not had much of an appetite the last few days.
Gender: Girl ♥
What I miss: Sleep.
Words of Wisdom: Get absolutely everything done that you can (physically) pertaining to baby in the first 7mths of pregnancy. I forgot how completely drained I was at the end with Claire. I already feel like I ran a 5K when I get up in the morning!(not that I have any frame of reference for a 5K but I can imagine...lol)

33 weeks....
How far along: 33 weeks!
Size of baby: The baby inside you is now about 4.4 pounds (2 kg) and around 17.5 inches (44cm) in length. The baby is using it's lungs to practice breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid. Your baby is drinking about a pint of amniotic fluid a day now and urinating the same amount. The early baby fuzz, lanugo, is disappearing now and being replaced by actual hair. The nails of your baby are now long enough to reach to the tip of the fingers or beyond and may need trimming as soon as they are born. They may scratch their face even before birth.
Sleep: Up about every 3 hours for a bathroom trip and pretty much laying on my right side is the only way that she is comfortable.

Weight Gain: 22lbs....bleck
Movement: Rib shots are too much fun! Although, like I have always said the movement is the coolest part :)
Symptoms: Breathing in general is getting a lot harder. Sometimes I have to drink something cold to get her to move out of my lungs. It's like she runs away from anything cold back down in to my belly...lol.
Food cravings: Anything & Everything!
Gender: Girl ♥
Belly button in or out: I am pretty sure nobody cares about this fact...lol. If it does in fact pop out I will be sure to devote an entire post to it :)

What I miss: Being able to find a comfortable position to do anything in.

32 weeks....
How far along: 32 weeks!
Size of baby: Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you. Measuring roughly 16.5 inches long, she now weighs about 4 1/2 pounds! And from this week, until 2 weeks before birth, she will gain about a half pound every week. Most of her wrinkles are disappearing, especially on her face, as more fat is deposited under her skin. Her hair is becoming thicker with each passing week and you may even be able to see it on an ultrasound! She will also begin to settle in the head-down position, as his birth is fast approaching.(Well, she was breech at my appt yesterday so hopefully my fetal weight u/s at 36wks will show that she has turned!)

Movement: There is a lot more rolling going on now due to the lack of space, but if I lay on my side she starts her Kung Fu!
Symptoms: Just starting to get uncomfortable in general and doing pretty much anything leaves me out of breath. Braxton Hicks have there days, I will have them all day one day and none the next.
