No, I have not read all of the Pendergast books, but I’m excited about this one!

JJ Rowland found SAFE ❤️❤️

grizzly true crime

2 year-old Joshua JJ Rowland , missing for almost 24 hours, was found by a volunteer searcher in Hernando County, Florida.

We don’t get good news too often in true crime cases. This is the best news ever!

The family, police, and the community all worked together to find this precious baby.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A great banana cake recipe

Below is the recipe for banana cake from spendwithpennies.com

Recipe from spendwithpennies.com

I ordered bananas the other day, and when they were delivered they were already ripe.

Yikes.

I like my bananas kind of firm, so I knew it was time to bake something.

I’m not a baker, so I turned to Google and found a banana cake recipe from Holly at spendwithpennies.com.

I tried recipes from the site before, and the recipe looked easy for this reluctant baker.

And it came out yummy!

Included in this recipe for banana cake is a cream cheese frosting, but I just opened a can of Betty Crocker Vanilla frosting.

Hey, I’m a reluctant baker who used our family KitchenAid mixer for the first time. We’ve owned it for about five years.

I recommend this cake recipe and all of the recipes on spendwithpennies.com.

Changing a phone number

Sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln, have you ever had to change a mobile phone number?

Everything is connected to your phone number!

I grew up in the age of rotary phones. My family celebrated with a steak dinner when we got a private phone line!

I’m all set up now, but it was a stressful morning switching out SIM cards and changing my number with all sorts of connections!

Having a mobile phone is super fun, even for this old dame! But it can be lots of work!

Gotta go now, it’s old lady nap time.

Nicola Bulley is a 45 year-old woman mum living in Lancashire in the UK.

Last Friday she was seen walking her dog along the River Wyre. She was on a conference call for work, and someone found her dog and phone by the river.

I’m trying to post the missing flyer with no luck, but will keep trying.

Moonflower Murders by Anthony Horowitz

Image

I listen to audio books exclusively these days, and using the Libby app to listen works great! These days I cannot afford to buy many audiobooks, so a library card helps me listen to lots of books.

Narrated by Lesly Manville, Moonflower Murders is number two in the Susan Ryeland series by Anthony Horowitz.

I got interested in this series by watching the first Susan Ryeland story, Magpie Murders, on PBS. Lesly Manville portrayed Ms. Ryeland in the production.

These stories are cleverly written and a fun listen. I find listening to audio books is a good distraction from the news, which is always depressing.

And I can recommend the Libby app, which I find easy to use and free with a library card.
