Sweat'n to the Oldies

Image
I had to put this one on. I love the outfit and with the head band she looks like Richard Simmons in his Sweat'n to the Oldies. The entire pose is like his pose on the exercise videos.

Zack's Birthday

ImageImage
Image
Zack turned 5 yesterday and we had a weekend full of parties and fun. On Saturday we had a friend party and Zack's aunt let us borrow all of her fun water stuff. The kids had a great time and Zack got some fun toys. He has tried everything out and switches back and forth all day long. We must have worn him out because he fell asleep around 6:30 and didn't get up until 4 in the morning for a drink of water. Then he went back to sleep until the morning. Yesterday he couldn't wait to open his presents so before church he opened his roller blades. He wanted to wear them to church. I said no so he spent the afternoon rollerblading around the house and the outside. We also had all the family over for cake. Zack chose to have Mississippi Mud for his cake and it was good. It was fun to visit with all the different family members and are so glad that we have such supportive families. He once again was worn out and went right to sleep last night. I think I need to have more of those type of days when he is so worn out. I wish they didn't wear me out too. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get them off the camera.

The Alien's who Came to the 4th of July

Image
ImageWe didn't realize that when the Texas relatives came to town that we would also be inviting aliens to the 4th of July. It was cold as we did fireworks so everyone was bundled up in blankets or whatever they could find. Above is my Uncle Paul keeping the cold off of his neck. Also my nephew Coleman borrowed Zack's jacket and some old sweats that were found in my mom's cedar chest. Zack and his Cousin Lexie weren't so sure who he was. We had fun all the way around. There was a lot of laughter and jokes. I don't remember ever being cold on the 4th but it was a little chilly.

Roll Over!

So Abby has been rolling over from her tummy to her back for awhile now but just hasn't gotten the other direction down. She has been really close. She just can's seem to figure out where to put her arm. So last night my sister Raquel was laying on the floor above Abby's head and Abby was determined to get to Aunt Raquel. She flipped over all the way and we all cheered. She was so excited that she didn't stay that way she flipped back and smiled and gooed and laughed. I think in our excitement we startled her back over but she did do it again a couple of times so I think she has gotten it figured out. Of course she can't do it at home. We are actually at my parent's house this weekend so I guess their house is magic.
Brad is helping my dad put in new windows and siding. We will see how much can get done in a weekend. Also my Aunt and Uncle from Texas are coming to town so we are going to BBQ with them on Sunday. It should be a busy weekend.
Zack is having a great time already. He has my sister Paula and by brother Brandon to himself and of course he has Grandpa. He had them all downstairs watching cartoons with him. Pretty funny, because he came upstairs at one point and they were all still watching downstairs. Who says that cartoons are only for kids. Well that is what is happening in our life. We are going to enjoy the 4th of July and hopefully I will get some good pictures.
