For Halloween we had lions, tigers, and bears.
The kids had a ton of fun trick or treating but before all that could happen we had to have a few smashed pumpkins. Zack spent the day before carving his pumpkins with Brad. They had them out on the porch ready for the big day. On halloween Zack got home from school and was playing outside. When I checked on him he was busy smashing our jack o lanterns. I asked him what he was doing and he said that we didn't need them anymore because it was halloween. I guess he missed the part of the holiday where the pumpkins are supposed to have candles in them and decorate your house that night. I got a big kick out of it, but he didn't like me telling everyone about his little venture.
Abby loved the idea of people giving her candy so she figured out how to get lots of it. She had someone else holding her bucket and they would make sure that she got candy, then they would turn and walk away. She would go up to the door and the people thought she was cute and would give her more candy to put in her bucket. Hence a double dose of everything at each door. They came home with more candy then we needed and are still working on it.
