Cruise (Part 2)

Roatan, Honduras, our third stop, was another favorite.  It was beautiful.  We spent the day hanging out on the white sand beach and snorkeling.  It was the perfect relaxing vacation day.  HEAVEN!

I just realized that I didn't take any close up pictures of the beach.  Oops! I hope Kami or Monica did.

The last stop was Grand Cayman.  We got to swim with the sting rays here.   We got to hold the rays and pet them.  It was really quite amazing.  We got on a boat and traveled for about 30 minutes out to a sandbar in the middle of the ocean.  Our guides said that on each side of the sandbar the ocean was very deep 18,000-25,000 feet deep. The sandbar was like a mountain in the middle of the ocean.

After the sting rays we stopped at 7 mile beach.  It was a beautiful beach.  We swam, snorkled and collected shells.

We snuck in one more excursion on the day we got off the ship.  They let us off the ship early, took care of our luggage and gave us a ride to the airport.  We felt like that was a pretty good deal.  We went on an airboat ride through the everglades.  It was a great way to finish off our vacation.

Cruise (Part 1)

I have been saving, a little bit of my preschool money every month, for the last 4 or 5 years for a vacation.  Brandon and I wanted to go somewhere for our 10 year anniversary, which was last June.  We decided to go on a Western Caribbean Cruise and we loved every minute of it.  We have been home for about 2 weeks and I am ready to go back on vacation.  Some of our good friends joined us and that made it even more fun!

This is me and Brandon at Tulum. It was so amazing and so beautiful.
I think this adventure was at the top of our favorites.

The cruise started on a Sunday.  Brandon and I flew down on Friday, so that we could drive the Florida Keys.  It was really beautiful and so neat.  We drove on a lot of bridges on our way to Key West one was even 7 miles long.  Brandon was amazed at the power lines out in the ocean.  They were in the water the whole way to Key West.

The first stop on our cruise was Cozumel.  We decide to go see the Mayan Ruins of Tulum and we are so glad that we did.

Our next stop was Costa Maya (my least favorite stop)

This is the only picture that I got here.  (Derrick has some of the boys scuba diving, hopefully I'll get them soon)   Brandon, James, and Derrick all went scuba diving.  The girls had a relaxing day of hanging out and shopping.

NINE

Image
Nine years ago this sweet boy made me a mother!
How blessed I am to be the mother of such an amazing spirit!

I can't believe Colby is nine. It almost seems like yesterday that I held him in my arms for the first time.  We celebrated his Birthday at home with our family.  We ate his favorite dinner; Ribs, twice baked potatoes, bread sticks, peas, and finished the meal off with chocolate birthday cake.  He also opened a few gifts.

On Saturday Colby celebrated his Birthday with some of his friends at the movie theatre.  We are so lucky that Brandon's Grandparents own the movie theatre.  Colby opened presents, we ate donuts, and watched The Adventures of TinTin.  The boys each got a popcorn, drink, and a treat (It was movie theatre heaven).  We had a great time!

Ice Fishing

One of the last days of Christmas Break, Brandon decided to take the family ice fishing at Otter Creek.  It ended up being a really nice warm day.  As you can see there wasn't any snow.  I was nervous about being on the ice with it so warm, but all went well and we had a great time.

Christmas Day 2011

Christmas day was filled with excitement, family, church, gifts, food, fun and love.  We couldn't have asked for more.  Kyle is already asking when Christmas will be here again.  I love the Christmas Spirit.
