23 months

As every parent, I am sooooo proud of Bliss and think she is absolutely brilliant. I LOVE watching her learn and grow. So amazing how smart little people are! She is 23 months old now and I wanted to document some things she is doing that I don't want to forget while I'm on a roll with the blogging thing ;0)

-loves horses more than anything, but likes cows and Minnie mouse, too, if horses aren't around
-loves cottage cheese, yogurt, and bananas
-sings Jesus loves me and twinkle, twinkle, little star in her own, sweet way
-uses the word, "too," correctly
- Knows her primary colors
-Counts to 10
-Knows her letter sounds through G, with some extras like S and N
-Can pretty much sing her ABC's
- speaks in 3 word sentences
-loves to cuddle first thing in the morning
-loves to "swim in the water" and "swing"

LOVE this girl! Hopefully Easter pics to come soon!

Bliss 22 months and tractors are awesome!

I realize its been almost 6 months since my last post, but I was really inspired looking at other people's blogs today and I just have to share some of Bliss's latest pics. Last month we went to visit my grandparents at Anderson again. This time, Clint came and the blue bonnets were out making for some great photo ops:

The night we got there after Bliss went down, Clint and I left Bliss at the house with my grandparents and went spotlighting/hog hunting in my car. After about 10 minutes I abruptly got my car stuck in the mud. "Classic," as Clint would say. He tried to get the car out, and just when we felt the lerch of freedom, BOOM, stuck deeper than ever just 2 feet farther from where we were before. Defeated, we left my car in the ditch, almost turned on its side it was so deep in the mud, and made the trudge back to the house. Believing my car would rust in the ditch, I was more than concerned of how we would get back to Ft. Worth....

BLISS TO THE RESCUE! The next morning, I cannot tell you how proud Bliss was to help daddy pull the car out of the ditch with the tractor. It's been almost a month and she still loves to look at this picture and talk about "mommy car stuck," and "Bliss ride tractor."
