Stock Shows 2013

Charles has a new hobby....well it is our family hobby.  He raised 3 steers to show.  We have caught the stock show bug!!!  It has been a GREAT experience and the best part is it is something we get to do as a family.  We are looking forward to many years of making memories.

We began our stock show career on a pretty high note.  Charles won Reserve Grand Champion Steer at the county show with Troubador.

 

After county we got ready and headed to Ft. Worth which was our first major stock show.  We had so much fun and learned a lot.  Charles did an amazing job showing Cooper, but didn't make the sale.  We are going to give it another go with Cooper at Houston.

 

So, then we were off to the San Angelo Stock Show!  We took Troubador and hoped that we would do well and make the sale.  Charles did an AWESOME job showing, but we made the lap and started to gear up for San Antonio.

 

 

We then headed to San Antonio!  Charles, again did a GREAT job but made the lap.  This time he had to learn a tough lesson.  It was time to part ways with Troubador!  He was very sad and shed a few tears as he said his goodbye's, but handled it like a man!

 

We have had so much fun and met some amazing people!  We are looking forward to the year's to come!  Houston hear we come!!!!

 

 



 

Playday

My boys love to ride horses and be cowboys. They both decided to not play baseball this year and spend more time riding. We have been participating in the Winters Rodeo Assosiation playdays and are LOVING IT! Charles and Corley participate in barrels, poles, pony express, and the beloved boot race. I've really enjoyed watching the boys do what the LOVE!

Spring Break

Yes, I know I'm WAY behind! However, I did survive my first year back teaching and I'm VERY glad SUMMER is here! Please be patient with me while I get things up to date! We enjoyed a little fun after my check up with Dr. Bast in Houston. I got a GOOD report!! Praise GOD!! Galveston and Moody Gardens

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas with family. We began the Christmas festivities with The Belew family Christmas. Then later in the week we celebrated The Mayer family Christmas. This was the first year that we got to be home Christmas morning for our kids to enjoy their gifts. We also were able to attend church on Christmas morning and the service was beautiful. We are so blessed! Corley was Joseph in his Christmas program at school and he did such a great job.

Well, going back to work and having three kids has made things a little hectic around The Belew house. So here is what you have missed out on the last several months.

Five Years Later

After five wonderful years at home with my three precious kiddos I returned to the classroom this week. It was all in God's hands!!
Back in January Bill and I decided that I would begin subbing and seein how things worked for us. Then the budget cuts began and teaching jobs were not going to be easy to come by. We prayed long and hard about what was right for our family and we determined that if God inteded for me to be in the classroom it would have to be in Winters, Texas. We have made our home here and it was not ok for me to drive and be away from the family. Well, just let me say GOD IS GOOD!!!
In July I recieved a call from our new elementary principal and new superintendent. They asked me if I would like to be a BLIZZARD this year and I was filled with JOY!!! God has given me the opportunity to be an influence on HIS children and I hope and pray I will be a GODLY influence on them!
So, here is to a GREAT year as a BLIZZARD!!!
