10 months old

Things to remember at 10 months old (September 2012):
- standing, climbing, & baby steps are the new thing
- takes 3-4 and (today) 6-8 steps at a time before falling or grabbing me
- after he takes his steps he laughs knowing how excited I got
- such a happy and expressive boy
- so good in his carseat (we struggled there for a bit), but I love looking back and seeing him play, look out the window, clap, talk to himself or look over at me
- getting into cupboards while I've introduced the word 'no'
- works faster to rip out whatever was in the cupboard before I grab him then laughs
- no more sleeping in his carseat at church, stays awake and does okay (I use this word loosely) if he can have some crawling time in the halls
- follows me around the house
- pretty independent as long as he can look over and make sure I'm still there
- top two teeth breaking through the gums
- introduced: popsicles and biscuits/gravy, now drinking whole milk
- definitely knows when it's bed/nap time, he gets weepy as we enter his room and then is quiet once we lay him down and leave
- can't stand from the ground yet, needs helps from us or something he can grab
- loves to push around his walker, trying to climb up it
-gives the best open mouth kisses

8 months old

Things to remember at 8 months old (July 2012):
*he is so dang cute at this age I can't stop taking pictures!*
- his cuteness is abounding without end
- saying 'da da' over and over
- reaches up for Ben to hold him, he about dies when this happens
- eating finger foods consisting of: pizza crust, banana puffs, ritz crackers, mandarin oranges, shredded cheese, pears, corn on the cob, celery
- army crawling with an occasional use of a knee, pushes with his big toes and moves pretty fast
- two bottom teeth all the way through
-starts laughing hysterically when he knows he shouldn't be chewing on something
- Papa got to babysit for a few weeks in the morning
- doing better at church, able to fall asleep in car seat or in Papa's arms

Wyatt has always been known for his active personality and need to be on the move. He is always kicking his legs whether he just woke up or is about to go to bed. I love that he keeps me laughing and learning about his demeanor. He gets so excited when he does something new. He may not sit still for many pictures but I know this little boy is healthy, happy and will be determined at whatever he sets his mind to. I wouldn't have it any other way. He is a sweet boy and I love him.
