Tombstone, Arizona

After living here for almost 2 years, we finally decided to drive 20 minutes to go to Tombstone. This is the old west town where Wyatt Earp had his famous shoot-out. They try to keep it just the way it was and many of the people dress in costume. The kids loved it! So if you decide to come visit us, we'll take you!ImageWe need a better camera.
ImageYou can go for a tour of the town in one of these stage coaches, but they are a little pricey. So we walked.
ImageI look like a bug in this picture, but I had to put it on because Susanna is so funny. What is that pose?
ImageWe got cones at a little ice cream shop. Ice cream cones are so much better in Tombstone!
ImageWe got to watch a reenactment of the Earp brothers vs. cowboys showdown. I must be pregnant because it made me cry. (We're having a girl, by the way.)
ImageWe went to lunch at a family restaurant. Anderson got a burger and fries and loved it. He said, "Mom do you think this is a five-star restaurant, because I do!" It was so funny because the food was really very average.

We had a fantastic day in Tombstone. We are already planning on taking Mom and Dad when they come for Anderson's baptism.

The Children's Museum

Susie and Owen had an amazing time at the Children's Museum this last week. It was well worth the drive and effort to get there. Image
Image Dr. Susanna working on her very sick patient. She took her temperature and said, "She is very hot!" In a matter of seconds she had cured her. What a great doctor!

Image Owen driving the fire truck. The inside of the windshield has video images of roads and emergency situations. Owen is very focused on the task at hand.

Image Susie loved doing a little grocery shopping.
This was truly such a fun activity for the little kids. I'm so glad we took the time to go.

Holiday Fun with Family

Image We were all so excited to see Grandmas and Grandpas. This is Grandma P. wearing her new earmuffs while opening presents.

Image Susie is quite shy, but she was very comfortable with Morgan and had a great time playing with her for a couple days.Image Graham was so funny with his tight pajamas. He kept saying, "Would you like to observe the tights?" And, of course, Emory has the WII controller in his hand. If there is a video game device in the house, Emory will find it.

Image Ben grew his beard out between Christmas and New Years. He rarely has a beard, so I had to get a picture. I wish he would keep it, but since working at a church school, he feels like a rebel when he has it.

Image Sam was so kind to the kids, helping them with their presents when I'm sure he would have preferred to take a nap or relax.

Image The kids wanted to be in the snow as much as possible. Anderson thought it was fun to pull his little cousin Thomas around on a make-shift sled in the backyard.

Christmas Tree and New Pajamas

We had so much fun putting up the Christmas tree this year. All four of the kids were thrilled. After we got it up, I decided to give them their new pajamas that I bought at midnight(black Friday) at Walmart the night before. Image
ImageThe kids loved their pajamas so much, they put them back on immediately after church and have been wearing them ever since. Too bad it's not pajama day at school tomorrow. Although, I'm sure it will be for Susie and Owen here at home. I'm amazed at the happiness that $4 can bring.
