A Little Over Due!

Image

So I keep thinking that I am going to update our blog about all the fun stuff we did this summer, but our old computer died and I dont know how to get pictures to this new computer. So when Ben and I both have a few minutes and he can show me how, Ill post about our crazy summer.

So In the mean time, I guess I will blog about our most exciting adventure this summer... Little Ellcey Mykol

I was due Aug 20th, but becasue I get to have a c-section I get to pick my due date.
So we decided to spend a few days at bear Lake ( pictures to come) and then come home and have her.
It was a alittle sureal to be going into the hospital to have another baby. But we were so excited. Ben and I went in and got checked in about 7am on the 13th, filled out paperword got my IV and about 9 am got wheeled into the OR. Ben was a little bummed that they didnt give him scrubs to wear this time, but he looked handsome in his paper attire. Once I got in the OR I got a little nervous. The epideral freaked me out because I could feel for longer than I thought I should but once I was numb Ellcey was here in no time. Ben recorded the whole thing, so for those who want to see it, come on over. As long as a little blood doesnt bother you ;)
Ellcey was 19 1/2 inches 6 lbs 10 oz. Completly perfect.
After a fewe days in the hospital we begged to come home and they let us out.
She is such a perfect baby, sleeps well, eats well, and is beautiful. Ill keep our blog updated as she grows, which I hope isnt to fast...

Kindergarten, check!

Image Boston graduated from Kindergarten this week. We are so excited for him to go to 1st grade.

Image I love this picture, it looks like he is contemplating his next move.

Image Ms. Lingmann has helped Boston so much this year. At the beginning of the year, Boston would come home with a "naughty note" a lot. She really put some extra effort into helping Boston learn to raise his hand, wait his turn, and not just yell out the answer. Thanks Ms. Lingmann

Image Boston actually was a little sad when we talked about it being his last day of Kindergarten. He got a little teary eyed and sad, and told me he didn't want to leave Kindergarten, that he loves it. But after a little talk, he is stoked to go to 1st grade. Jaegan I think is going to hate having Boston gone all day, but he will get use to it.

Good Luck Boston!!!

Way to go Jae! We love you

I love these faces

Image
I wish you could see this picture better. I ran into the store and left the boys in the car with some super yummy cinnamon raisin buscits. When I got back into the car, all three had frosting all over their faces. It was so cute.
PS. You have got to try them, you get them at Carl's Jr. Delish!

Ssshhh, dont tell Ben

We went to the Carl Bloch art exhibit in Provo and on the way home, I got the best video of one of Ben's hidden talents. He told me he better not find this on facebook, but this isnt facebook, right?!

Ellcie is going to have the best daddy!

My Master

Image Hurray! Ben did it. He is finally done! ( not officially, but who is keeping track).

Image Friday Ben graduated from the U with his MBA!

ImageWe could not be more proud of him.

Image Thanks goodness Ben's parents were there to help keep the boys busy during the ceremony. It was so long!

Image We are so excited to actually see Ben again.

Image Don't they look so proud of their daddy!

So he graduated but actually has another 10 weeks of school left. It should go by fast and we'll take 10 weeks over 2 years. Ben has worked so hard and we have really missed him. I am working on a video of all the things that have gone on in the past 2 years. To come shortly.

I can not say enough of how proud we are of him. We love you daddy!

April Showers Bring May Flowers?

So much went on in April, I decided to just blog about the whole month rather than each thing. Sorry, I'm lazy!

First and most exciting, Boston turned 6!!!! I cant believe it, he is not a little kid anymore. I don't know what he is but not little. It makes me so sad. When they are 5, they are still babies to me. Now that he is 6 there is no stopping him. We let him take 2 friends and go play laser tag ( see a baby would not play Lazar tag) They had a blast.

We also had a little scare with Jae-pants, he hurt his hip a few months back and had been complaining about his groin hurting, we thought he had pulled a muscle, but the Dr decided it was his hips that hurt and ordered x-rays and blood work, just to make sure it was nothing serious. Even though we knew it was nothing, the thought still scares you to think, maybe. There are 2 families in our neighborhood that have young family members with cancer and Ben's sweet little 2 yr old cousin is going through chemo right now, so the thought was there. We were so glad when everything came back fine. Just aggravated his sore hip. That's what happens when you jump off everything, I guess.

Boston went on his first field trip for school. We went to the landfill and saw what happens and talked about recycling. That is what his kindergarten class has been focusing on this year. Then we headed for Thanksgiving point to see the animals and pick up the eggs that would be hatching in their class. It was pouring all day and we all got soaked, it was still fun to go and spend the whole day with him. I think their favorite part was the bus ride though.

Easter also was a big event, not so much at our house, but at the Grandparents. Each had a huge hunt and spoiled all the kids. They had a blast. The Easter bunny did come to our house, but like I said, "she" has been very lazy lately and didn't do to much. Also the picture of Ben and I, my neck really was like that. I must have slept wrong and could not move for about 3 days. Ben was my hero, and took great care of me. I literally could not move and he had to bathe me, get me dressed, do my hair and move me. I figure it gives him good practice for after my c-section. Luckily after about a week, I can finally move again, and don't have to rely on Boston to tell me if it is safe to back up.

April even had a few sunny days and the boys had to get outside. Im so ready for some warm weather.

Piano Recital

Last night Boston played in his first piano recital. We were so proud of him.

He has been taking lessons for about a month and he loves it. Every time we ask him to practice, he jumps right up and plays. Jaegan, of course, does what ever Boston is doing and has learned to play part of this song to. Its not really a song, just a little ditty has has to practice. Today however at his lesson, he learned to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. If you listen close, that is what this practice is teaching him.

We are so proud of him, he did great!

Oh yeah, he starts to play and then decided to play a different song, that is why he stops.

Spring Break Cont..

Image My sister in law told me about the Lagoon Trail, so we decided to take the kiddos on a little walk. They had so much fun. We saw some fish, fed a horse and bugged some buffalo. It was a beautiful day and we didn't want to leave, as we were getting back I realized that Boston was just getting out of school. Thank goodness for awesome neighbors that ran to pick him up. Cant wait to go back here, plus we got some good exercise pushing the strollers.

The boys are little fishies. They love to swim. We ended up at the SDRC and burned some energy. Image We were so excited that Ben didn't have school that night or Bishopric meeting and met us there and could take the boys down the slide.

Image I was careful to stay away from the camera, I don't have a maternity swimsuit so I SQUEEZED into an old swimsuit. I'm sure it wasn't pretty, but it was about the boys right?
Image
Image Thank goodness we had a little sunshine one day, and the boys decided to practice their golf swings. It makes me excited for them to go golfing with Ben.
