my poor neglected blog!

I have been unfaithful to my poor blog.... I became a facebook junkie! But I am committing myself to make a comeback! I really want this blog to be made into a book someday since I do not have the time to scrapbook.... so I plan to take a big ol trip down memory lane and get this thing "caught up" This is, if anyone out there is still reading my blog since my last post was APRIL!!!

Plus, I had a new cute family pic to put on my header, so that gave me an excuse to come back to faithful ol' blogger! :o)

Bryson's Open House

Bryson had his little Open House last week and they were little cowboys and cowgirls in their performance... oh my cuteness!! They were directed by 'yours truly' and I couldn't have been more proud!

Camping Trip

Well.... we had an "adventurous" camping trip last month... involving a hail storm, a leaky tent, a bicycle injury, a burned shoe and vomit in the tent at 3AM... so we said to ourselves, "That was fun... let's do it again!!" No really, we got Clint a new (bigger, non-puked in) tent for his birthday and we decided to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather and try this camping thing once again! We went out on Friday, and our friends, the Riveras joined us on Saturday. We went to Granger Lake in Taylor, and it was just beautiful... the weather was perfect for camping and the scenery was amazing. It was such a great weekend.... wonderful to be reminded of how blessed we are... and how great is our God...

I sent Cason to the car for time out at one point and came to check on him. I found him sitting in there reading his Bible.... sounds like this time out was a success!

What a fun stage of life we are in!

Bluebonnets

It's that time of year again... and they sure a gorgeous this year! I will be so sad when my boys are no longer excited about this tradition! But for now, every time they see bluebonnets, they want to have their picture made in them... precious boys!

Micah is growing up way too fast... developing his own unique personality and witty sense of humor. He can usually be found with this cute little grin from ear to ear... He is still my super helper and a great big brother...

Coby has a heart of gold... he is always thinking of others and saying the sweetest things to everyone. His sweet prayers bring tears to my eyes nearly every time. Along with this gentle heart is a super goofy side that always likes to be the life of the party, too!

Cason is just all around sweetheart. He has really grown up this year in kindergarten and he has taken on the role as "big brother" more with Bryson this year. He is constantly asking questions and wanting to learn something new or do something to help. He has the sweetest little manners and is so easy to be around.

And Bryson, my little red-headed pistol. He is so much fun. He makes us laugh and he amazes me every day by how sharp he is. He is absorbing all that is going on around him and growing up way too fast. He and I have had lots of fun being home together just the 2 of us. I wish he could stay my "baby" forever.... he loves school, he loves his friends, and he adores his brothers (or as he calls them, "the boys")

Thank you, God, for my precious blessings....

Easter with the Family...

Easter was lots of fun this year... it was nice not to be travelling for the weekend and get to spend it with family here in town... And it was great to have my daddy home for the long weekend. We all met at mom and dad's for lunch after church and then the adults went to hide eggs on the playground while mom and dad had an easter "party" with the kiddos. They had lots of fun searching for eggs and being with cousins...

Jog A Fun

Jog a Fun was a super success this year... the Best boys had a great time and each one of them ran the entire 30 minutes. I was so impressed with them. It was Cason's first jog a fun, and he sure did love it! What a fun day! Here are pictures in no order at all! :o)

Thursday was Rodeo day at our preschool. The kids got to make trail mix, have cotton candy, dig for gold, pet a live horse, shoot “rattle snakes” rope a steer, and lots more… Bryson had a ball! When I asked him what his favorite thing was, his eyes got really big and he said, “COTTON CANDY!!” But he really liked the live horse, too! :o)

He got in the car today and told me, "momma, I have prayed for this my whole life...." I have to admit I fought back some tears of joy for my precious boy!!

Cub Scout Pinewood Derby

The boys had been looking forward to the Pinewood Derby for quite sometime. They have worked so hard on their cars. Coby came up with the idea to make his look like a rocket ship and Micah wanted his to be cool like the Batmobile. Many hours of work later, they were ready to race….

Coby got 2nd place for "Most Original" (in the whole pack) and 3rd place in speed in his age group.

Micah won 1st place for "Too Cool" (in the whole pack) and 2nd place for speed in his age group.

Micah's is in lane 3, and Coby's is in lane 2.

Beach Trip 2009

We made our annual fall break trip to the beach again.... and it was so fun. The weather was cooler than it had ever been, but the boys werent bothered by it at all. We spent lots of time on the beach, some time at the heated pool, and even a few minutes in the hot tub! :o) Here are some of the Posed pics I took this weekend...
