We basically celebrated Friday and Saturday but not on the actual day!
It all started with Brayden going to his preschool party in his "simplified" costume. Mom let him go with basically everything but the breastplate, shield, and sword.
Brayden's friend Kylie came over to our house for a little bit before preschool.
After preschool we went and surprised Grandma Leavitt at the elementary school where she works. Brayden got to show of her handiwork since she made his costume this year. From there we went trick or treating to Great Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt who are at their home in Alpine currently. Granny was quite surprised!

After that we headed to Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt's for lunch and to pick up the big pumpkin Grandpa grew. He was kind enough to give it to us for the boys to carve and display at our house. We measured it and it was 68 inches around and probably weighed 100 pounds or more. It took two adults to move it and it wasn't easy even then!

Brian was out of town until Friday night so while we waited patiently for him to get home and join in the fun, we went to our ward Halloween party. Brayden entered the costume contest....

...and WON! He was SO excited! They were giving out 2 adult prizes and 3 kid prizes and I didn't think he'd win with basically the WHOLE ward entering but he did!

Saturday we got ready for the big night and when Easton went down for a nap, carved our pumpkins. Here's Brayden with one of the two we grew ourselves this year!

Brayden chose a Frankenstein design for his and Dad helped get it ready and put the design on before Mom got to carve it.

We got our two regular sized pumpkins carved and then brought in the BIG one!

Got our pumpkins all done, Aunt Torey stopped by to visit, and had friends over for soup and salad before going out Trick or Treating! Here's how Easton went out...

The little stinker wanted NOTHING to do with his Dragon costume! Like cried and threw a MAJOR fit the ENTIRE time we made him keep it on! (30 minutes!) So we caved and in an effort to let him have a good experience, he went as a pirate. But he wouldn't wear a hat or eye patch and finally let us put the sash/belt on him with a sword tucked in! You can't really see all of that because we put a coat on most of us (Brayden was the exception) because it was RAINING!
Here's the after Trick or Treating picture. Easton and Dad lasted for about 20 houses before calling it a night and Brayden and Mom continued on and did about half our neighborhood! It was quite the sacrifice for Mom since her SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS were playing in the WORLD SERIES and boy did she look super cute all wet!

Our Knight and his haul of candy! His favorite thing he got...a can of Root Beer!

In honor of the great San Francisco Giants and the grower of the Giant Pumpkin...

Our other two homegrown pumpkins!

An Asian Dragon (Dad's choice) and Frankenstein (Brayden's choice)!
