Our Christmas

Image
We Stayed home this year and had an enjoyable time with the kids. After we opened presents we went to Josh and Meagan's for breakfast. Everyone was there from my side except for my sister and her family. We always miss her when we get together. Anyway, here are some pics from our happenings. Not all are from Christmas * * This is what happens when you give a toddler a candy cane :) That's why he's strapped in his highchair :) * * This is what happens having four kids and I am in my room nursing Carsten. Notice when I pull the camera out the lovely face Landon makes for me :) * * I don't know how Landon managed to do this but he was STUCK good! I had to get a wet paper towel to grease him out :) * * Here are some pics from new Years Eve. We had it over here at my house with all the family. We had homeade soup and rolls and read the Christmas Story to the kids and had a talent show. Here are my toothless daughter and neice. We pulled out Kiley's tooth that ni...

Christmas Card

Image
So I made a Christmas card. I even had it made before Carsten came. I just needed a pic of him. Well as you can see I never got around to sending it. Maybe next year I'll actually send them out. Anywho, I hope you all have a great Christmas!!

BIG THANK YOU!

I just wanted to do a shout out to all those who donated money to help my sister Sariah's kids get to California. They fly in tomorrow, as long as the weather permits THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You know who you are! :)

Success

Well, I heard through the grape vine that the surgery was a success and that everything went well. The first 24-48 are critical so keep on PRAYING!! :) They will keep him sedated for a couple days. Anyhow, I am sure Sariah will post tonight or tomorrow and will have more details so you can check out her blog for more info. Updates on Conner

Pray for Conner!

My sisters baby is getting one of his heart surgeries right now so PLEASE pray, pray, pray!! I'll let you know how it went later tonight.

This is great!

I have a friend who posted this and I loved it so I gotta share :)

Carsten's 1st week

Image
Well we didn't do a whole lot. My mom had been here for the week and its been great to have her help! We had a Dr. appt for Carsten on Monday. Carsten is doing great! He left the hospital Thursday weighing 6 lbs 5 oz and was his exact birth weight 6lbs 13 oz by Mon. so that was good. He has a little bit of Jaundice but nothing to worry about. Then we went and saw my Grandma(mom's side) right after that. For the rest of the week we just chilled out at the house til today, we went to my other grandma's to show off the baby. Anywho , here are some pics taken through out the week. Brendan made me and my mom Smoothie's YUMMY! (I am such a cheese ball!) Great Grandma Longhurst Great Grandma Betsy Poor Landon looks like this half the time. He is having a hard time adjusting to the new baby taking all his mommy time This is his 1 week old picture. Can you find him?? :)

Paint your nails Pink!

Image
My sister Sariah just had her little guy yesterday at 4:07pm, his name is Conner David, he weighed 7lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/2 in. For those of you that don't know he has a heart defect called Pulminary Atresia: This is where the heart is missing the pulmonary valve and sometimes missing the actual pulmonary artery. This artery is what takes blood down to the lungs. He also has ventricular septal defect, which is a hole between the lower chambers. Anyway, back to the title of my post, she had a friend give her some pink fingernail polish to wear to remind her that people are praying for her and her little man. My mom painted Sariah's toenails before she went to the hospital to have him and my mom called them 'Pink Prayer Toes.' So we decided that we would put a post out for everyone that wants to, to paint their toes or fingernails pink to remind them everytime they see that pink to pray for my little nephew and his family at this hard time in their lives. I am going to...

We are home

Well we came home tonight right around five. It is nice to be home and not bugged constantly by nurses. With having a c-section they bug you twice as much checking vitals incision etc... Well, I have to say so far I am wondering why in the heck I ever had the kids vaginally. Don’t get me wrong I am still in pain but I can handle it a lot better then what I had down going on down there with the other kids. The nurses were surprised at how well I was doing and moving around. Anywho, I will give a few details of the last few days. After Carsten was born…oh by the way his full name we decided today is Carsten Darell Cluff, Darell is Brendan’s middle name and Carsten’s great grandpa’s name so it is special :) Well after he was born he was showing symptoms in his lungs that he was actually a week earlier then we thought so he is considered a preemie. Instead of two weeks he was three weeks early. Well he had some problems with breathing. He was and still is breathing a little faster than nor...

He's Here!

Carsten came December 2nd, 6lbs 13oz, 19 3/4" long, and lots of strawberry blonde hair. This is Brendan giving a quick update, KT will post more when she gets home.

I'm off!

Here is my last prego picture. Hopefully my next post will be of a beautiful baby boy  :)

Waiting Anxiously

Aunt Cindy I need an invite to your blog!! [email protected]  :) *This isn’t a post men will enjoy reading so skip this one unless you like birthing stories* Well I am just sitting here waiting for Tuesday to come. I am scheduled to have a c-section at 6:00am and have to be there at 4:00. This is my first c-section and I am pretty nervous because I just don’t know what to expect. For those of you wondering why on my fourth kid am I getting a c-section?? Well here’s why, I rip pretty good every time. With Landon I ripped to a 4th degree tear which is all the way to my bum hole. It didn’t help the fact that he was HUGE!! With Gaige it wasn’t as bad it was only a 2nd degree tear into the tissue and my theory is because I had Kiley and Gaige so close together that my body was still more loose and able to handle it. Kiley my first was only 6 lbs 11 oz and I ripped to a 3rd degree which is into the muscle. You think with her that small I wouldn’t have a problem but I do. Here’s what it...

My brother sent this to me today and I really liked the message it portrays, especially after all the stuff going on in L.A. So I thought I would share.

Newest Addition to our family!

Image
* I have a poll on the side if you want to vote :) No it's not the kind your thinking. Our little guy won't be here till Dec. 2nd at 6:00 am :) Anywho, Brendan has been wanting to get these little guys for quite some time. Hopefully our neighbors won't mind too much! :) We thought they would be good for year supply eggs and such. Also, Brendan will be building them a moveable coop that will fit over our garden grow boxes so when they poop all over, our dirt will be nice a fertile. So here are some pics of them and of Brendan (he is so proud of his garden so I just had to add that pic) This last picture is me enjoying my baby. He fell asleep on me and I just couldn't put him to bed. I am going to miss Landon being my little baby. They grow too fast!

Kaiya

* Update... I have a friend that is auctioning off a photo shoot and all proceeds will go to Kaiya's family. So of your interested go to this link: Photo Shoot * This is a blog I started following of a sweet little baby that had a heart condition similar to what my sister's little baby will have. Kaiya was 2 weeks old when she passed away a few days ago and I am sure any little amount for her funeral and hospital bills will help this family. Here is their family site if you want to read about Kaiya . http://www.angelahodges.blogspot.com/ P.S. I have added a link that will take you to the blog that has the pay pal link for donations.

Our Weekend

Image
This last weekend we went up to the White Mountains and hung out at my parents. Saturday the boys went coyote calling. Josh called one in and got a coyote. Brendan said they would only be gone a hour which turned into several but he made it up to me and brought me a pumpkin blizzard (which I hadn't tried, it was Yummy!) We went to dinner with my best buddy Holly and her hubby Allen at Booga's it was some good Mexican food :) Then they came over and Brendan taught them how to play the card game pitch. Me and Holly rocked it and beat them both times!! HA HA. It was good to spend sometime with her. It's been forever! Then Sunday we headed to Snowflake for my nephew Kyler's blessing, ate some lunch, hung out with the Cluff family and then headed home. It was a good weekend :) Here is sweet Kyler

Not too Happy

I'm pretty disappointed tonight with the election results as I am sure a lot of you are. The only plus side to the whole election was prop 102 passed !!!! YEAH !!!!!! I thought McCain gave a great speech tonight, it was very noble of him and I gained a little more respect for him. As for Obama I was thinking about Pres. Packer's talk in Regional conference and how one of his last sentences of the talk he said that 'a drastic change was coming' Which was a little scary to think about. Anyway, after Obama's speech tonight the thought occurred to me that the main word in Obama's campaign has been 'Change' you see it all over the signs people hold at the rally's (or whatever they are called) To me that was a little scary. I kind of had the feeling after Pres. Packer said those words that Obama would be one of those changes. Anyway, I think that historically it is WONDERFUL that a African American was elected President of the United Sates. It is go...

Halloween pics

Image
We went to my brother Josh's for Halloween and hung out had dinner did some tricker treating and played some games it was fun! Brendan's brother Brian , his wife Marie and their little cutie Ayden and Meagan's sister Monette and her 2 kiddos came. I didn't take my camera for Halloween and already had some pics from trunk or treat so I wasn't too worried. But Marie my sis-in-law got a couple of cute shots of the kids. I especially love the one of Landon.

What have you done?

This looked fun, so I stole it from some of my friends blogs :) Rules are: Anything you have done has to be in bold. How much have you done? (in my case I am doing it in white because you can't tell the difference.) 1. Started your own blog 2. Slept under the stars 3. Played in a band (just highschool band, I'm not a rockstar or anything :) 4. Visited Hawaii 5. Watched a meteor shower 6. Given more than you can afford to charity 7. Been to Disneyland 8. Climbed a mountain 9. Held a praying mantis 10. Sang a solo 11. Bungee jumped 12. Visited Paris 13. Watched a lightning storm at sea 14. Taught yourself an art from scratch 15. Adopted a child 16. Had food poisoning 17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty 18. Grown your own vegetables 19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France 20. Slept on an overnight train 21. Had a pillow fight 22. Hitch hiked 23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill 24. Built a snow fort 25. Held a lamb 26. Gone skinny dipping 27. Run a Marathon 28. Ridden in a...

Gaige is 5!

Image
Today was Gaige's b-day. We had a jammed packed day of stuff to do. First we woke up has some breakfast opened some presents then rushed to soccer games for Kiley and Gaige . I signed them up yesterday for a little soccer league out here. I was late signing them up so they hadn't practiced yet but did great during the games. Then we had to rush home, get in some Sunday clothes and rush to the church for the dress rehearsal for their primary program tomorrow. That lasted a couple hours then we headed to Panda Express for lunch and then Wal -Mart for shopping. Gaige got birthday money so he wanted to buy something and got the new Star Wars Light saber. Brendan was off camping with Scouts and got home around the same time we did from shopping then we let Gaige open his main b-day present which was a bike and helmet. He loved it! So we rode around for a hour and during the bike riding Brendan taught Kiley to ride her bike and she did really great! Then we came in had dinner and ...

So You think you can Dance Tour

Image
Okay I wanted to post along time ago but I have been out of town and haven't been able to so now I can :) I went to SYTYCD with my sis-in-law Marie and her Mom and sis on the 7th and had a blast!! We went to dinner before the show and then went in the stadium. While me and Marie were waiting for for her Mom and sis to use the restroom a lady approached us and asked if we wanted to switch tickets at first me and Marie thought she was up to no good then realized she had a stadium work shirt on so then we asked if she had 4 together and she did so we took it. We weren't quite sure where they were just that they were closer then what we had, so we got directed down to our seats and they ended up being right on the floor 9 row back!! I was pumped!! They were so close up it was GREAT! I was able to get some pretty good pics when my camera decided to :) We also found out after the show that we were sitting 2 rows behing Twitch's family.(his dad was so tall his orange hat is in alm...
