Christmas!!

Ok. These are out of order but too late. There are a few different blogs to fit all the photos because I am still without my computer and can only add 4 at a time...

Image
Poor Wyatt...what Sawyer doesn't realize is that he will grow up and get him right back.
Image
I wish I had a video. They were at different ends of the tunnel and laughing at each other!
Image
Sawyer thought is was really funny that his hair was sticking up.
Image
When I am able to post videos I will have to post this one...Sawyer would slam his car down on the tray and start laughing which would crack Wyatt up...love these boys!

I am sad to say that we have not had a chance to get our "ugly sweaters" but we are going to try to get that done this week before New Years...I bet there will be some good ones right after Christmas...

Wyatt had fun opening his presents...and yes...I am wearing the famous "penguin suit". Shalane, do you still have yours?
Image

Image
One of these is Wyatts. I'm not sure he'll ever see it though. Sawyer LOVES stuffed animals.
Image
Building good habits early and to help with his excess energy...a kiddie stationary bike! He is on it at least 15 times a day...I should follow his example.
Image
What would Christmas be for a boy without big trucks?!

and more...

Is it normal for a 5 month old to eat nearly 2 things of baby food/oatmeal plus 8+ ounces of milk? I don't know what we are going to do when they are teenagers...

This and That

We had the Cheever kids over the other night for a little Polar Express party. Yes...that is a train they are sitting in. I had very little time and resources to work with, ok?! It was a lot of fun for them though, and they didn't seem to notice the ghettoness at all. We even served hot chocolate at the hot chocolate song...

Image

So there is this neighborhood that really goes all out for Christmas. There are like 20 guys dressed up as Santa and you just drive your car down their street and they pass out all sorts of Christmas candy and hats and they even have this little "Santa's Hut" set up! It was so cool! So much to do in such a small town!
Image
So we celebrated Christmas a little early last night with Jane, Ed and Tina because we're not sure if they'll be able to make it for Christmas day with all these storms we're supposed to get. So just in case we let him "open" grandpa Ed's gift...his very first bike! Mom, didn't we have the same exact one? Don't these boys already look like trouble? We are in for some interesting years...
Thanks Ed!
Image
How is it that babies can get away with this and still look absolutely adorable? Jim tried it on me and just made me want to vomit.

catching up

Just so everyone knows...we moved...again. Luckily not far. We are still in Salina KS and still really liking it. We just moved to a much bigger house! I guess you really had to see our old house to fully understand my excitement. It would fit in our new living room...no joke. So eventually I will get some pictures of the house. But in the meantime here are some pics of the boys and our going ons. Oh, and there are like 4 new posts. For some reason this computer won't let me add more than 4 pictures at a time onto my blog...
Image
Sawyer fell asleep playing with his favorite toy. At least he didn't take it to bed with him again.

Image
New boots! Thanks again Jane! He wears them all over the place...without pants? Who knows. He is very much into stripping right now. We were at Walmart the other day and we turn our backs for a second and Sawyer has his shoes off and socks and is just about out of his pants before we get him. I really don't want to end up on PeopleofWalmart.com....come on buddy.

It was a long day of moving

Wyatts Photo Shoot

Sawyer can't get enough of Wyatt. The first thing he does in the morning (besides coming downstairs and waking me up) is jump into bed with him and waking him up. And if I don't let him into Wyatts room he yells and cries until he wakes up and then smiles, grabs my hand, and leads me to his room...I can't for some reason show videos on this computer, but I have some really fun ones of these two together. Sawyer starts to laugh which makes Wyatt laugh which makes Sawyer laugh even harder and so on...it's really funny.

More Wyatt

Image
I posted this not just because I love Tina, but I wanted everyone to be able to see just how big Wyatt is getting. I mean really...is he only 4 month (almost 5)?
Image
And now a haiku entitled "Go Away":

Camo. Green, brown, red-neck tux
Invisible boy
Poop stains, spit-up disappear

I realize a haiku is 5/7/5...but how many people really know that?

Baking Day!!

So keeping with the Palmer tradition Jim and I had baking day last weekend. Mom I really missed those carmel, chocolate pretzels. But we made some really fun and yummy things! Tina! I need that recipe for those absolutely wonderful cookies!! The Cheevers came over too and all the kids made gingerbread houses...I think there was more eating of the candy then building of the houses. We also tried doing a little photo shoot of the two babies with santa hats on in the nude...Didn't work out like we wanted...Wyatt peed all over little Bodey...poor boy. Baking day was a hit though! I did however REALLY miss my family! :(

2 Years Old!!

Well, here are a bunch of pictures and videos of my 2 year old! We actually ended up having 2 parties...one on his birthday with just us and then this weekend when Jims mom and sister could be here! So that is why there are two cakes...lucky kid. I cannot believe I have a 2 year old and want to cry when I see how fast he grows and learns! Motherhood sure does make you a sentimental wuss.
Image
He is so funny. He was so careful not to get cake all over and only used one finger very daintily until Jim shoved his whole hand into the cake.
Image

Image
I made the cake a couple of days before and for 2 days Sawyer would go open the fridge and stand there looking at it singing the wheels on the bus...
Image
I would be in trouble if I didn't add-in some pictures of Wyatt.
Image
A sit-n-spin from Jim and I
Image
Jims work sells all sorts of fun tractors and farm equipment toys...it's a little boys heaven. We can't take him into his work because he's just out of control.
Image
More Wyatt

We were at a friends house and I finally caught Sawyer singing on tape! He is always singing, all day, but I can never get him to do it on camera, and this cracked us up because he was playing the guitar too.

For his birthday I let him take like 3 baths...it's his favorite past-time. He's really starting to get the funniest personality. He started cheesing it for the camera.

Image
Oh mom....Sawyer absolutely LOVES his bulldozer! He wouldn't let us put it up for the night so he ended up sleeping with it! I wish I would have taken a picture...he had that, like 5 little cars, a pillow, 4 blankets that he pulled out of the dresser and a stuffed bear...all in bed with him.
That's our two year old!

Oh Sawyer...

Image
He loved his new tie.
Image
I was on the computer the other day just catching up on email and such when Sawyer decides to come cuddle...not unusual, he's very cuddly...well five minutes later I hear snoring and look down to see him fast asleep. He hasn't fallen asleep on me since he was like 3 months old! I may have shed a happy tear or two...Wyatt was asleep at my feet in his swing...this is what Jim came home to. :)
Image
Well, last night I went in to check on Sawyer to make sure he was good for the night, you know, make sure he's not suffocated under all his blankets and pillows, make sure he didn't poop...I open the door and "WHACK!" I hit him right in the head. Didn't even phase him. He had climbed out of his crib and gotten into his blanket drawer, proceded to pull out all the blankents and then lie on top of them and fall asleep. I should have taken a picture of the rest of his room...it was a disaster! We are putting him in a toddler bed for the first time tonight. Wish me luck.
Image
This boy is ALWAYS smiling.

Just another one of Sawyers strange games.

And the reason he is no longer in a crib....?

Wyatt has started rolling over from tummy to back....I know, very exciting...I just can't get him to do it on camera. He would rather look at me.
