Not that having this baby come into our lives won't be the most fun ever...but while waiting for Babylooch, we've been totally blessed to have lots of time to hang out with each other and do some of the things we love to do.
We've still been rocking our surprise date nights and other goodies, all while getting our new house set up too. (Pics coming soon). PS, we love our house and it already feels mostly settled and ready for a 3rd family member!
We made it to the U2 concert, which was great. Although Steph's legs and feet hurt for days afterwards...it was worth it.
We made it to 37 weeks with a healthy baby, and have all her high tech baby gear set up.
We made it to Artscape, and stopped to eat dinner at Joe Squared on the way. And actually sat at the same exact table we did last year.
We also saw this guy, but it wasn't quite as weird as the kid we watched eat greasy pizza off the back of his hand at dinner....
Ben was up for surprise date day/night this month and he totally pulled out all the stops and doubled up! The date started Sunday morning with fishing!
Although Ben looked good fishing...Steph won by catching 3 fish. They were huge.
Then Ben wrapped up the date last night at our favorite place to eat, Woodberry Kitchen. Steph had cantaloupe soup (yummo) and simmered eggplant with cherry tomatoes, and Ben got the Meatless Monday Mac N Cheese. Ben threw back a few cocktails to celebrate his current "freedom" and we of course ordered the CMP for dessert.
It doesn't stop there folks. Tonight we plan to watch 2 hours of uninterrupted Weeds Season 7 with the Jordan's.
AND, we had a doctor's appointment today, and all is well...we're right on schedule for 38 weeks! And our sweet baby has little legs, we were totally shocked considering we're so tall.

Beach/Birthday/Bright Young Almost Dad
We were able to get away from our apartment, full of boxes and just our bed, and our new house, full of boxes and construction material...and spend a weekend at the beach! Thanks Drew and Kel for the invite, it's always the best part of summer!
This is what 33 1/2 weeks in a bathing suit looks like....
And thanks to Virgil's root beer (the best), I was able to still enjoy Happy Hour with the Monty's.
It was also Ben's 28th birthday on Sunday! We are finally the same age again...just in time to be parents.
We celebrated with his family at a Father's Day party and again with our small group. Thanks to Kelly again for yellow cake with chocolate frosting, his fav!
And, of course since it was Father's Day....our baby decided to run out and get him a new fishing pole! She's always thinking.....

Cinco Cosas Mas
Uno: Steph had a baby shower at the Boblooch's house. It was awesome. Her mom and aunt were able to come and celebrate as well. Babylooch totally got spoiled.
Dos: The Post family came back to Baltimore for a visit. Justine even made it in from Seattle!
Tres: Steph's amazing friends threw her a small shower at Betsy's house. It was catered by Steph's favorite Baltimore farmers' market stand, Black Sauce.
Steph got tons of cute gifts for Babylooch, including a gift from the Sewing Club! Anne, Betsy, Heather, and Laura made Babylooch a quilt. Steph was so excited she almost yelled out the baby's name, which will be kept under wraps till August.
It has pieces of the baby bedding fabrics I'm using! Ben went stealth and gave the girls samples of the fabrics I bought for the baby's room.
Cuatro: Ben's birthday is coming up, June 19th! And his first Father's Day! We went out to Blue Hill in Canton last night to celebrate.
He's so handsome!
Cinco: This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago, but Steph is already double this size, don't be fooled. We'll be at the beach this weekend with Drew and Kelly and we'll be sure to post some goodies after our trip too.
That's about it for now.
Oh, and we finally got a car seat after returning two. Third time's a charm.

Catch Up
Ok, you are about to experience a million tiny updates to catch up on the million big things going on for the Boblooch Team.
Since May 9th....
One: Anne and Jeremy had their baby girl, Margot!
We are excited about this because she's Babylooch's first friend!!!
Two: We went to a 8 hour birthing class at the hospital. We felt like we learned a TON and feel more prepared. What's really come out of the class though is that whenever Steph has a contraction, Ben makes all the funny breathing sounds, and Steph starts laughing and is suddenly much more comfortable. This is a pic from a previous class we took on breastfeeding, but is funny.
Three: We bought a house, no big deal. Our friend Wanda kept telling us that her neighbor would be selling her house shortly and we should look at it. Because we had been discouraged with house hunting in general, we kept putting it off (sorry Wanda!) but Steph finally called the woman and asked to see her house. We totally fell in love, but assumed it would be out of our price range because it was so well kept. Ben called the realtor before she had a chance to officially list the house, and the price was music to our ears. So, we quickly put in an offer (and not to mention a heart felt letter handwritten from Steph bascially begging her to sell it to us), and we got the house! Thanks to the help of our amazing realtor, Mark, and our close friend Tim for whipping up contracts, etc lightning fast!
And best part is, we love our neighbhors already, Wanda and Renee, and our good friends Anne and Jeremy and their girls (Margot, Violet, and Piper) live right around the corner.
Four: We settled June 3rd. We are homeowners! So naturally, we started ripping things up.
And admiring the big backyard, with built in fireplace!
We will share "the after" photos soon. The painters finished at the house this morning, Ben is almost up to speed with his awesome construction skills, and we're moving in next week!
Five: We went to Michigan to celebrate Steph and Christian's wedding in Holland, MI. We were able to see tons of friends, and also stay with Biz and Zach and meet their newest addition, Charlotte!
Ok, five is a lot for one post....more to come.

Preggo's
Our friends Anne and Jeremy are having their third baby on Weds morning! It's been fun, especially for Steph, to share being pregnant with someone else.
The "sewing club" (Laura, Heather, Steph, Betsty, Anne, and anyone else that sews really) surprised Anne last week with this Hide and Seek Spectrum Quilt by Anna Marie Horner.
I'll post better pics when I have time, but it's super cute!

Somos Dominicanos
We thought we'd tribute the Dominican Republic, and our friends Katie and Aldo by wearing our favorite t-shirts to Heather's Geikie de Mayo birthday party.
And here is the little baby that we can't wait to get to the Dominican and show her the place we love the most!
My pregnancy still continues to be easy and I've felt great!

how many weeks are we...?
I had a doctor's appointment this morning and I thought I was 26 weeks, but my doctor came in and announced "5 more days and you're in the 3rd trimester!"
I had no idea. All this week/month/mester business is confusing....In the end, we'll have a little girl around August 2nd.
My stomach and her heartbeat were all measuring perfect today, we're right on target. And I didn't barf up my glucose juice from my blood test.
It's been awhile since we updated. Let's see. One of Ben's customers was kind enough to lend us her beach house in Rehoboth, DE.
The weather wasn't perfect, but we had a great time getting away from our apartment that is getting more and more crowded with baby stuff and big decisions...
We did lots of walking and went out to dinner. It was great to get away since our weekends are already full until baby almost...plus I'm not supposed to travel after the last weekend in June.
April was my month for surprise date night, and I took Ben to an O's game. Although I couldn't enjoy a beer or a hotdog...we had a blast. Yet another nice time to take a break from baby business.
I seriously love almost everything about Baltimore....
Other than this, we've pretty much been trying not to stress out as we get ready for baby. We're still in the house hunt...we still can't seem to find what we're looking for. Our apartment guest room is now filled with crib parts (thanks Jer and Anne!), 2 strollers, a car seat, the baby bedding I'm sewing, and bins of baby stuff. We're working on an action plan incase we're still in the apartment when she comes.
But everything is great, Steph is healthy and so is baby.
