About Boppo
What can Boppo do?
Boppo can play a wide variety of activities. Just like an iPad has "apps", Boppo has "activities". One activity is playing at a time. Activities include playing music, podcasts, teaching kids their colors, practicing counting, and many different kinds of games. Games include classics like Simon says, Bop-a-Mole, and new games designed just for Boppo. Activities in the library are free and more are on the way.
Because Boppo has WiFi and Bluetooth, you can connect to the Boppo Parent App and update the device as new activities are released.
Boppo is geared up with a high-capacity rechargeable battery, physical mechanical keyboard switches, and a 32GB SD card to store all the amazing content and activities. Boppo blends these premium elements together to make the Boppo magic kids love.
Do I need a subscription?
We're happy to share 40+ activities, games, stories, and more on Boppo for no additional charge! There are no subscriptions or memberships or hidden fees with the Boppo Tablet or any other Boppo products.
How many activities are there?
There are currenty 40+ activities in the free library that comes preloaded on Boppo. We also have three different Toppos, which have 10 activities each, for a total of 70 available activities.
Is Boppo durable?
Very. Boppo was engineered with drop tests by a team of hyper toddlers.
Of course, we cannot guarantee it will survive every fall or every child's unique sabotage technique, but Boppo uses a design that can handle most of it.
Note that Boppo is not designed to be waterproof. Please keep away from water.
How long does the battery last?
Boppo has an internal rechargeable battery and it recharges via a USB-C port.
How long Boppo's battery last depends a lot on the brightness setting of the lights, the activity being played and if headphones are used or the speaker volume.
For normal usage at default brightness expect around 3 to 6 hours. For less typical usage it may last between 2 to 10 hours.
Does Boppo need Wi-Fi?
Most activities on Boppo do not require Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is required for the following:
- Updating Boppo and downloading new activities
- Streaming Podcasts (existing fully downloaded podcast episodes may play without Wi-Fi)
- Controlling Boppo from the phone app
Wi-Fi is not required for the following:
- Playing already download activities
- Playing music in the Music Player
- Using a Toppo which has already been downloaded.
Is Boppo just for kids?
Boppo is fun for all ages. While much of our content is focused on kids aged 1 to 8, many games or activities are fun for big kids, and yes, adults too!
Are there other colors/activities coming?
Boppo only comes in 1 color for the foreseeable future, but protective sleeves will be coming in early 2026, with a variety of colors. Make sure you are signed up for our emails to be notified when those launch!
We have so much in the works for 2026: more activities, more Toppos, and a lot of fun surprises are on the way.
Boppo's Toppos
What is a Toppo?
A Toppo can be placed onto Boppo to unlock new activities and games, true to that Toppo's theme.
Each Toppo unlocks 10 brand-new activities tailored to different themes. From space explorers to animal lovers to mini musicians, Toppos support budding interests.
They’re quick to switch, easy to store, and fun to play, turning Boppo into a personalized play and educational system that grows with each new passion.
When will new Toppos be available?
We're just getting started. We have 3 Toppos right now (At the Symphony, On the Farm, and Our Solar System), but more will be coming in 2026. Stay tuned!
How does a Toppo work?
Boppo automatically recognizes when a Toppo is added to the device, and the activities will automatically be available to play.
When the Toppo is removed, the Boppo tablet goes back to its original home menu. We would love to hear your ideas on what Toppos you would like to see! Email us with your Toppo idea here.
Using Boppo
How do I set up my Boppo?
To setup your Boppo download the phone app and follow the on-screen instructions. For more detailed steps read our Setup Guide
How do you navigate and play activities?
All activities can be navigated to using Boppo's audio menus.
Press and hold the Home button on the side of Boppo to go home at any point. On the Home menu press any buttton once to hear its activity (e.g. Music Player). Press a button a second time to select that activity.
You can access the settings menu by pressing the Home and Power buttons at the same time.
Activities can also be searched for and started from the parental phone app.
Can my child navigate Boppo on their own?
Yes! Most children 4+ are able to navigate the menu and play with Boppo on their own. For ages 1-3, parents may need to support by selecting activities on the Boppo itself or using the parental app to choose.
How do I update my Boppo?
Boppo is continuously updated with new activities and improvements to existing activities.
First you need to make sure that Boppo is connected to Wi-Fi. Then you can manually check for updates by.
- Going to the "Settings" menu by holding down the home button and tapping the power button.
- Select on "Check for Updates"
- Boppo will now look for and install any new updates while letting you know its progress.
Boppo will also automatically check for and install updates if it is plugged in, turned off, not locked for travel and the charging light is showing after about 5 minutes of inactivity. The charging light will turn blue while updates are being checked for and installed.
What does the parental phone app do?
The phone app provides an alternative way to navigate and use Boppo.
The parental phone app enables the following:
- Setting up WiFi on the Boppo tablet
- Finding new activities and switching activities
- Uploading music or audio files for playing on Boppo (such as mp3 files)
- Finding kids podcasts and playing them on Boppo
- Adjusting the volume or button brightness
Does Boppo support headphones?
Yes, Boppo has a standard headphone jack for wired headphones. Boppo does not support Bluetooth headphones but third-party wired to Bluetooth adapters are compatible with Boppo.
Can Boppo be muted?
The volume of the device can be turned all the way down using the volume buttons on the side of the device or using the parents phone app.
Boppo also has a headphone jack.
Even when the volume is all the way turned down or headphones are used, the buttons still make sound naturally due to their physical nature so you may not want to use it in an environment where no sound is tolerated.
Can one phone control multiple Boppo tablets?
Yes! The phone app can pair with many different Boppo tablets. To setup a second (or more) Boppo tablet, click "Setup a Tablet" in the settings tab in the app.
Can one Boppo tablet be controlled by multiple phones?
Yes. If you put the tablet in pairing mode, additional phones can be paired to the Boppo tablet. Click "Setup a Tablet" in the phone settings tab. You do not need to setup Wi-Fi again and can exit the setup flow after the device info is received.
Can Wi-Fi be disabled?
Yes. In the Device Settings on the tablet you can turn on "Airplane Mode" which disables Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Most activities can be played without Wi-Fi but you will not be able to stream new podcasts, update Boppo or control Boppo from the phone app without Wi-Fi.
How is my privacy protected?
Boppo does not have a microphone or camera, and we do not record or share any of your device data.
Troubleshooting
How can Boppo be connected to Wi-Fi?
See our Wi-Fi setup instructions.
Make sure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz network as Boppo does not
support 5 GHz networks. If you maybe entered the wrong password, you can
re-enter the Wi-Fi information by following our Wi-Fi setup instructions.
How can Boppo be connected to the phone app?
Download our phone app and follow our setup instructions.
In order to communicate with your phone, the Boppo tablet must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If your phone is using a VPN it may block connection to the tablet and may need to be turned off.
Other issues (e.g., Frozen)
If Boppo is frozen and completely unresponsive but has power (lights and/or sounds are still on), you can press and hold the Power button on the side of Boppo for up to 30 seconds until Boppo restarts.
If Boppo is not turning on, please plug it into a charger and make sure it has power.
If you are experiencing issues you can do a Factory Reset in the device Settings by clicking the Home and Power button at the same time and then selecting "Factory Reset".
Shipping
How much is shipping?
We offer free shipping on all US orders on orders of $45+. Shipping rates are automatically calculated for your location if your order is below the threshold or if outside of the US.
How long does it take to receive my order?
We begin shipping orders out within 1 business day. Delivery takes anywhere between 5-7 business days, depending on your location.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently only ship within the US and Canada, but are hoping to offer Boppo more widely soon. Stay tuned!
Where can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking link to track your order.
Returns
What is Boppo's return policy?
Boppo is pleased to offer free returns!
We accept returns of any Boppo product within 30 days of purchase, for any reason. Contact us here to begin the process for your return.
Unless otherwise specified, Boppo only covers return shipping within the US. Please contact us with your name, order number, and reason for return (optional). From there, we'll issue you a prepaid return label. Note that the product must be returned to us unaltered within 30 days after our receipt of your notification that you'd like to make a return.
Send the parcel, packaged to avoid any damage, from your local postal operator or drop-off point. Once we have received the product, and if the item is in satisfactory condition, we will refund your original payment within 5-7 working days. If the product is returned either damaged, incomplete, or not in the original packaging, this may result either in a reduction or cancellation of your return to compensate for the loss in value.
All Policies and Processes remain subject to change at any time. Boppo's current version will always be available here.
How long do I have to return the item?
We accept returns of any Boppo product within 30 days of purchase, for any reason. Contact us to begin the process for your return.
Is my Boppo covered by warranty?
Boppo's Product Guarantee covers the repair or replacement (at Boppo's discretion) of your purchase within 180 days from the date of original purchase.
Please reach out via the form to connect with customer service. Please contact us with your name, order number, and the issue you are experiencing. If the product is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship, we will be happy to repair or replace your items.
Boppo reserves the right to replace your faulty product by sending you a refurbished one, tested and graded.
Our warranty does not cover:
- Use contrary to the Safety Information Manuals (available on our Product Safety page)
- Normal wear and tear
- Accidental damage or water damage
- Damage from external sources such as transit, weather, electrical outages or power surges
- Direct or indirect faults caused by negligent use, misuse, neglect or careless operation
- When used with other products or parts that are not part of the Boppo family
- Damage caused by you or a third party performing unauthorised or improper repairs, modifications, or alterations on any Boppo product
- Natural degradation of battery performance over time
A transfer in guarantee is not valid in the case of resale of Boppo products
When can I expect my refund?
Our team processes refunds within 14 business days of your return arriving to our warehouse facility. Each return is carefully inspected before processing the refund. Once your return is processed, you will receive a confirmation email, which will initiate the refund. You will be refunded to your original form of payment. Refunds can take anywhere between 5 to 7 business days to post to your account, depending on your banking institution. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable, where applicable.
*Note: You are only refunded for the items that are received. Final refund amount is subject to inspection and evaluation at Boppo's discretion.
