Well, I did finish him off before the end of the month, but haven’t even started on his retinue yet. Not happy with the picture as it makes the model look shiny and devoid of depth (and the red looks very intense as well)…perhaps if I can get a good photo of him in the sunlight it will look better. All in all a hell of a fun model to paint and the Scibor bases are a real treat as well…must go purchase more!

Ogi goes for Two

Posted in Sci-Fi on June 25, 2010 by botwtIt’s been a wee bit hot in the hobby room to work on models lately (20 days since my last post…wow), but I am hoping to bang out Inquisitor Gideon Lorr and his retinue of Imperial Guard Veterans by months end…OK, let’s be serious here, probably just Gideon Lorr will get completed. I am such a slacker and having too many cool models in my collection makes it tough for me to focus sometimes. Because I don’t game with these pieces the base size doesn’t matter for Lorr, so I am putting him on one of Scibor’s Monstrous Miniatures resin bases. I have to admit, these are some great bases and have to recommend them to everyone!
Well, off to prime this guy and get him ready for a paint job!
Frank and Jesse James
Posted in Wild West / Historical on June 5, 2010 by botwtReally not my best work (my hands seem to be giving me some troubles) but at arms length these two outlaws will work for my purposes in Legends of the Old West games. Frank is from the Black Scorpion Tombstone range and Jesse is the 30mm Han Solo from Knight Models with a bit of converting to add an old west revolver and hat (both removed from other Black Scorpion models).
