MELEKALIKIMAKA!!!

Sooo...I pulled out my video camera the other day because I was cleaning up and Eli was being so cute and helping me put the laundry in the hamper. Well much to my (not) surprise, he stopped as soon as I started recording, BUT...he started dancing to the Christmas music I had on and it was so funny. Enjoy this video...please ignore my messy room...and commentary...and my singing...not my best... :)

Santa!

Image
We went to the mall the other night to go see Santa. On the way, we stopped at the pet store. Eli went CRAZY over the doggies and started screeching, laughing, and clapping. I couldn't get him to look at the camera because he was too enthralled with the dogs. But if you look in the reflections, you can see him with his mouth wide open!
Image
Then we went to see Santa, I guess late is the time to go, there was no one there. I felt kind of bad that we didn't pay to have our picture taken (I guess that's how they make their money!) but hey, we do what we gotta do. Eli was not so sure about Santa. But he didn't freak out.
Image
Just gave Santa a dirty look and looked at Boyd like "Uhhhh Dad?!?! Are you going to leave me here with this weirdo?" :)

You know dasher...

Yes we are cruel parents. But who could pass up this photo op? Not us. The best part was that the nose flashed lights. Although the look on his face looks as though we are torturing him, he actually thought it was quite funny.
No really.
He did
I promise.

Here's one I photoshoped the string out of....just for fun :)

*NOVEMBER RECAP!*

Image
Hey there! Remember me? Thought I'd do a post to recap November since I've left you high and dry. :) I've been workin' on several projects, went out of town, had several people come into town, and then cooked Thanksgiving dinner! It was a great month, and I can't believe it's almost over...craZy. Here's a recap of our month...
Image
The month started with a suprise visit from Grammie! YEA!! It was so much fun! Delta had some great fares to Phoenix one weekend, so my mom hopped on a plane and in no time she was here...and in no time she was gone. :( It was a fun little weekend, we were really sad to see her go.
Image
Next was a surprise trip to California! My best friend needed a little "girlfriend thearpy" and so I went out to see her for the weekend--without Eli! It was my first trip without him. Although I almost lost it in the airport several times, I had a great time, and it was very rejuvenating for us both. Sometimes you just need your best friend to make life seem not so tough.

Image
Jayme just got a sewing machine, so it was the perfect time for me to come! I was able to bring my machine (since I didn't have much baggage without Eli) and we sewed the weekend away! It was a lot of fun! I taught her how to make cupcake bibs...ImageI will admit, 9 years ago when I met Jayme, I would have never thought I'd see her doing this...
ImageI'm so proud. :)

ImageWe made a big mess of her dining room.
ImageI took some pics of Jayme and Liv in downtown Santa Rosa.

This was the first time I really got to devote a lot of attention to Liv, and we really bonded. It was so much fun. She is such a beautiful baby (almost toddler). It was nice to get to have some 1-on-1 time with her without Eli getting jealous.
Image
Then it was back home to my boys! They survived just fine without me...for a few days... I missed them a ton! Boyd, you're the best! Thanks for letting me get away, I love yoU!

ImageWe had a fun evening at the park. Eli scratched up his nose pretty bad as you will see in subsequent pics...

ImageMy friend Loni and her son Jaxson came into town after I got back. Jaxson and Eli are almost exactly 1 year apart! They are buds! We went to Amazing Jakes one morning and it was SO much fun! The boys practically had the whole place to themselves. It's like an indoor amusement park for little kids. They were amused for sure!
ImageUnfortunately, we went during Eli's morning nap, so he was a little bit temperamental, but for the most part he held it together. Just a few freak outs...
ImageThis particular freak out was for no reason at all. It lasted about 10 seconds. Sometimes, you just gotta let it out I guess.
ImageAnd then he was back to being happy. Here he is running with a cookie. Such glee.
ImageThey have lots of cool things at Amazing Jakes!!
ImageIn Daddy's shoes. Eli is getting so big and really starting to identify things. He always tries to put our shoes on. He managed to get his feet into Boyd's shoes and tried to walk around in them. It was so cute. Glad I had my camera handy.
Image
ImageFootball man. He loves balls and says "ball ball ball" all the time. He knows the difference between a regular ball and a football. Boyd had the game on one night (most nights) and Eli went and grabbed his football and started throwing it around. :) (Thanks for the jammies Sharon! They're great!)
ImageLater in the month, we had a little BBQ and Mom and Dad P's house. Boyd's mom has been in town the whole month and it was fun to go over to thier house and have a nice dinner. Eli and Hailey got to sit at the "little" table. It was so cute because they actually sat there and ate! Sorry this is such a crazy pic, it looked horrible right out of my camera so I had to "fancy" it up for you. :)
ImageI took some family pictures of Cameron, Alicia, Hailey and Aubrey. It was super fun.
ImageI love Hailey's expression in this one.

ImageBeautiful girl!
ImageThe zoo! I've been a total flake lately and kept canceling our planned zoo trip. I was finally able to lock down a day and time and we met Alicia, Hailey, Aubrey and Alicia's sister Rachel at the zoo. It was so nice. It has been really warm here and it made for a nice day out.
Image
ImageYes I know, he needs a haircut...
ImageYea!!! Eli loves trucks!
ImageAnd he loves to clap.
ImageBuy a box of these. I don't care what your reason is not to. They are divine. They only come out once a year, so just do it. You know you want to. I love them. They made their way into my Thanksgiving dinner.
ImageThanksgiving! This year, my parents abandoned me and went up to Seattle for Thanksgiving, leaving me to fend for my family. :) (it's okay Mom and Dad, I forgive you) It was my first year away from my family for Thanksgiving and I was pretty bummed. I even looked at ticket prices to Seattle a few days beforehand, I didn't have $1,000 laying around to take a last minute flight up there, so I cooked Thanksgiving dinner myself. I'm probably one of the few wives that actually had to convince her husband to let her cook Thanksgiving dinner, but that's okay. :) He wanted to go out, but I just couldn't bare the thought. Thanksgiving to me is all about cooking. The smells in the kitchen, the mess, I love it all. I did it and it turned out great!
ImageI even dressed the table up just a tad...
ImageEli has a cold and didn't want anything to do with dinner, but wanted EVERYTHING to do with dessert. Go figure. Notice his sleeveless shirt...no I'm not a cruel mother and subject my child to being cold. It was EIGHTY DEGREES OUT! SO HOT! I actually ran a 10k that morning and just about DIED from heat exhaustion...only in Arizona....
:) That's all for now...see you in December!!!
