Happy Halloween!

My little lamb had a fun Halloween! Our weekend was full of fall festivals and suckers. We didn’t go trick-or-treating this year, mainly because we didn’t want to have to eat all the candy! But Noah still had a great holiday-he even won a cupcake at the cupcake walk!

And even though he is super cute in his costume (I’m partial, I know), he HATED it. He pitched a fit every time I started to put him in his costume.

But I bribed him with a sucker and all was well with the world again!

We hope yall had a Happy Halloween! We can’t wait to celebrate the upcoming holidays with our little chunky monkey!

Noah’s first haircut

A few weeks ago we decided that it was time to bite the bullet and get Noah’s hair cut. It was starting to look like a mullet and it was definitely out of control! Plus every time he slept, I would have to spend about five minutes untangling it! We were a little sad about cutting his little baby hair, but we’re SO glad now that it’s done!

She gave Noah a bright orange comb as soon as we sat down and he was good to go from there on out!

Noah got to pick out a sucker for being such a good boy! At first he wanted the whole bowl of suckers, but with Daddy’s help, he picked one! He definitely wasn’t too sure about it at first.

But it didn’t take him long to realize that suckers are good stuff!

My big boy!!

Since Noah’s haircut last week, he thinks he is big stuff. He has started standing up all by himself and standing for a few seconds! AND last night he started saying DaDa! He was making the D sound, so I said, “Noah, say DaDa!” He looked at us and “DaDa!!” like he’s said it a million times!!

He’s growing up SO fast!!!

Griffin’s 8th birthday party!

Last weekend (or was is the week before??) my nephew had his Halloween birthday party!

My sister, April, did a FABulous job decorating and preparing for the party!

I can’t believe he is already 8!

His party was also a dress-up party! Enter the cutest little lamb you ever saw…..

Needless to say, we took a long nap after THAT party! But it was so much fun!

A quick story

I am so behind with my blogging! But when I actually have time to sit down and blog, all I want to do is sleep!

So my nephew, Peyton, has always called me “Alson”. I assumed he just couldn’t say “Allison” yet and that he would figure it out eventually.

Yesterday he was drawing pictures for me and writing his name. Being the fabulous 1st grade student that he is, I knew he could probably spell my name, too. So I asked him to. He wrote “ALSON” and looked up at me for my approval. I said, “Well, that’s close, but you are missing an L and an I.” I wrote it for him and he looked at me with shock in his eyes and said, “Your name is ALLISON??? I always thought it was Alson!!”

I love him!

Ok so tonight (I hope) I plan on catching up with posts on Griffin’s (my other nephew) 8th birthday party and Noah’s first haircut!! Yay!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday with my sister and her family. Noah wasn’t too sure about all the animals and it was getting close to nap time, but overall I think he had fun. I can’t wait to continue this new tradition with our little family!
