Just my luck

I was riding around town this morning, checking on rental property, when I pulled up to a yield sign. I yielded and then BAM! The guy behind me rear-ends me!

And guess what? He has NO insurance! Fabulous! Thanks for that $560 bill mister! I appreciate it!

Noah’s 18 month check up

Last week, we took Noah to the doctor for his well appointment. He weighed 25.7 lbs (50%ile) and was 32 1/4 in (50%ile). His growth has definitely slowed down since he started walking running! That child NEVER sits still for more than 30 seconds unless he’s sleeping!

18 months

He is still wearing size 3 diapers, but we will be transitioning to size 4 after we run out. We bought a potty after Noah starting telling me when he pooped AND after we realized he was a little scared of the big potty. He loves to talk about the potty and always tells me when he poops (afterwards). So we are taking small baby steps in the potty-training direction.

18 months 2

Noah will eat: chicken nuggets, yogurt, grapes, strawberries, waffles, oranges, apples, crackers, nutrigrain bars, cereal, pb&j sandwiches, french fries, and that’s about it. He is the world’s pickiest eater and I am SO getting pay-back from when I did the same thing to my mom. We have started really putting forth the effort to eat dinner at the table together with no tv and feeding Noah whatever we are eating plus some fruit and it seems to be helping a little bit. But he has such a short attention span, he normally only sits at the table for 10 minutes.

18 months 4

He is so smart. I can’t even begin to name the words he can say because he talks so well all the time. In addition to his own words, he will repeat anything…ANYTHING you say. Daddy has to be careful with his road rage. :) Noah knows where his eyes, ears, hair, belly button, fingers and toes are and can point to them on himself or on you! He can count to two in english and in spanish (expect he skips dos and just says uno, tres!). He knows what sounds an elephant, dog, cat, horse, monkey and duck say.

18 months 5

He is a Mommy’s baby and that is 100% ok by me! I love that little stinker! He loves to play outside and asks us every single say to go ‘ousside, ousside’. He also loves to play in his ball pit, going for walks in his stroller (buggy), pushing around his big dump truck, pushing/filling up/dumping out his shopping cart, hiding in the living room curtains, being chased, loving on Bella, etc. He is ALL BOY!

18 months 6

His favorite tv show is Wheel of Fortune. We have recently pushed his bedtime back from 6:30pm to 7:00pm so he has a nightly ritual of sitting in his Daddy’s lap and watching the Wheel. He loves to do anything Daddy does, including cutting the grass!

We love him so much!

Project 52 (2) and Noah’s first day

This week’s theme is All Natural (no make up). Dear friends, this is as all natural as you will EVER see me!

all natural

Only my sweet, loving husband gets the pleasure of seeing me without makeup! But rest assured, I am makeup-free behind my iPhone! :)

I heard nothing but fabulous reports from Noah’s first day in the big boy room. He ate at the big kid table…

and even slept on his nap mat! I was so shocked!! And look at his first art work!!!!

You might have to squench to see it but I think it’s fabulous and I proudly paraded it around church last night to any and everyone that I could!

He cried when I dropped him off this morning because he wanted to go to the baby room, but I’m sure he will be fine.

The first day of school

Noah started school again today. He moved from the baby room to the one-year-old room! Instead of taking two naps, he’ll just take one. Instead of a crib, he’ll sleep on a nap mat. Instead of a high chair, he’ll eat at a real table! I’m so sad!

I actually am a little bit excited though that he will have more of a set routine and will get to do art projects and things like that! And for the past week, he has actually been trying to transition himself to one nap a day so it’s really perfect timing!

He REALLY loves school. A lot!

And because I’m feeling nostalgic, here is a picture from Noah’s first day of school last year!

He had just learned to sit up like the DAY before! I love that little boy so so so much!

Moosic

Noah has always liked music (I have been singing my whole life so he’s been around music since he was in the belly!), but lately he LOVES ‘moosic’. Every time we walk past a cd player or something that even looks like it’s supposed to play music, he points to it and says moosic! moosic!

Yesterday at church, Noah demanded that our choir director turn on some moosic for him to dance to.

He also requested a microphone to sing. :)

So just in case he ever becomes famous for singing, I now have picture proof of his little one-year-old self singing his heart out! :) I love him!

Project 52

I saw this idea over on Live A Charmed Life and thought it would be fun and give me a nudge to blog at least once a week since I’ve been such a slacker lately!

Project_52

Basically, you take one picture every week for a year (hence the 52!) according to the theme of that week and post it on Thursday. For the weekly list of themes, just click the link above and go see Emily’s blog!

Anywho, this week’s theme is In the Car!
