Mock interview horror >.>

This was err...4th December. yea. When I had my mock job interview for Wil and Wei.

Our lecturer said that there was a possibility of someone other than him interviewing us. But whether it was make us all jittery and freak out, I have no clue, because come Monday, it was him sitting behind the table.

As with what we were suppose to do was be there 15-20 minutes before our slotted time, I arrived and saw M. Her slot was befroe mine and KY was stuck inside. I quickly dropped by the bookshop to grab an envelope and came back to find KY out and M inside.

So obviously, it was err...time to pry for some info regarding the interview. KY submitted his resume for the same job as I did, so yea. He was going through what he experienced and there I was getting all panicky. O__o

Apparently, questions about the company background didn't turn up. but it was really helpful because in the end, one or two repeat questions came my way and I had the slightest clue how to blab about it. XD

My turn came. Yea.

Some of the starting questions were really basic and came off the sample he gave us. But yea....I kinda crapped my way though. XD

What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses?
How do you feel about working long hours?
Do you work well under pressure?
What are the conditions you work best in?

And more which I can't remember X.X When you panick and answer randomly, you will not remember what you were being asked in the first place. haha XD

Overall, I think I did moderately....I hope I did...>.>

In the end he asked...

Do you have any questions you want to ask me?

-answers something about style of management-

And he rattles on a long list of how different ppl have different style of management. O.O

So then he says that the interview is over. He'll be giving his feedback now.

Okiesssssssss

You need to be more involve in curicular activities in school, preferablly business related
Aim for higher grades
Suggests internship
-bla bla-

*dies*

The horror was finally over? XD And that leaves me the whole week free...oh wait, still have the presentation to prepare for...-_-

I would say I got off easy, because later on when comparing notes with other coursemates of mine, they got harder questions....like the current economy and so forth....ACKKKKKKKK.

Thank goodness XD

Freaky week?

Ah, what a weird week it has been >.>

I think I'm never seeing my baby mp3 player/pendrive again. It's totally gone for good, because if the fella has any heart, I would have gotten it back by now. My resume was in it, and it has my house number, hp number, address and even e-mail to boot. Right, now I'll have to dig my savings for another one, because as a college student, a pendrive is essential for presentations and assignments, and that was the only one I have. Darn it!

I had retraced my steps the very next morning. The only place I went was the print shop, my friend's car and the kancil. I left my number at the shop, bugged my friend to search his car and searched my own car. Nada nil. Gahhh, I was tired and that must have made me extra clumsy and careless.

That night, which was last Friday, 1st December, I was lamenting my carelessness when I saw Mintos with her display message. She lost her hp and purse! =O

Pinged by curiousity, i asked her how it happened. And as it turned out, it happened the same day I lost my pendrive -__- Totally by some weird coincidence.

Hers was because she left her bag at the library unattended and zipper was opened when she returned to get it. So yea...that is definitely stolen.

And then, I dropped by Reiki's blog, only to read about her car tyre getting punctured and a minor accident after that. O______O

okayyyyyyyy...........

Later, E tells me about her friend who lost her hp, because she left it in the classrooms during the SPM moral exam paper.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This is some crappy week for a lot of people.

Perhaps our luck for the year has run out? =P

But wait, there's like another month to go. *crash*

Break?

So yea, I passed it up on Friday and that left me free for the whole day. Ching had been bugging to meet up, so I asked her out to lunch. E came along, she's a member of the USJ13 St John's XD

Ching's dad passed her back her car, so she offered to drive us over to taipan and meet E at nasi kandar for lunch. As usual, we were late. haha XD We must have gone for like 6 rounds for parking, it was lunch hour >.>

But E was late too. So by the time we finished lunch and all, it was 2.30pm. I had no idea it would take so long, so yea. I initially thought we were having lunch and perhaps going over to Sungei Wang's for a walk.

So they both waited over at my house while I changed, because I was the only one unprepared. LoL

We reached like 5-ish. E didn't had much of a lunch because her mee goreng was too hot O_O so we dropped by at McD's for her. Ice creams~

And and, there was some sort of Gundam model exhibition. XD E was a fan of mangas and animes so we talked a lot. bwahahaha XD I see Freedoms/Strike/Akatsuki =O/Doms/etc etc. Mostly Freedoms. Darn, where's Justice?? Athrunnnnnnnnn~~

After which we walked around to visit the comic shops and linger around haha XD Sharing titbits and info and opinions. The ppl must be wondering,' these 3 girls are so annoying, they kept hanging around and not buying things'. =P

Since we turned up late, we decided to have dinner over before heading home. When I then remembered that Sg Wang had a top most floor XD

And found loads of collector's shops. And oogled somemore at the Gundam models and figurines *O* Some are so pretty, but rm500? killer expensive....O___O

Poor Ching, she had no idea what was what XD But we had lots of fun comparing stuffs.

And and and, we found the takoyaki shop!! XD wheee~

3 of us = 3 flavours = exchange flavours =P

We're so smart, really. Kinda paksa-ed Ching to join along. keke. So we had the octopus, prawn & ham and cheese.

So smart that we forgot it was dinner. And after having 3 takoyakis per person, dinner was kinda hard to force down >.< We found this restaurant on the top floor, which seems pretty reasonable, and cozy. About rm10 per person, plus drink and tax. Not bad hor? Errr....photos of food are with Ching and E. LoL. Yes, we took photos of our dinner but not us -__-

They both had spaghetti while I took some thai green curry rice set. Was kinda nice, but yea...still full from Tako balls.

My brother, on the other hand was near KLCC, checking out the PC Fair. And midway, he smsed over, "I'm looking at Sam". haha XD

It's a small world.

We had to rush back, because it was nearing 8pm and dad was worried that Carrefour would close, with the kancil still stuck inside. =O

Except that we sesated waiting for the bus. Again. (The first time, was the KL food trip, remember? XD) The bus driver told us to wait across the street, which we did, and there was no bus. >.>

And with dad on my track (yea..he was really worried about Carrefour closing), we decided to take the monorail.

We got our tickets and rushed to get in when we saw it coming our way.

Only to realise that the next stop was a station further away from KL sentral O__O hahaha XD We got on the wrong platform!

"Eh, aren't we further than before?"
"I think we took the wrong monorail"
"hahaha, we're geniuses at getting lost on the way home"
"And we shall remember this forever, because humans only remember the bad moments, not the good ones XD
"Yea..the moment we naik the wrong monorail"

So we got out and wait on the other side instead. Which was weird, because I bumped into a collegemate of mine who was taking up an internship. I wouldn't have seen her had we got on the right monorail.

Gosh, the internship seems pretty tiring. >_< But J was very helpful and gave me some tips on wil and wei, since she took it earlier. XD I should have applied for the internship, urghhh... because it's really an eye opening experience. And good for my ...empty resume >_< She lives in Subang, so we chatted on the way home.

And then Ching bumped into a USM uni-mate, who was on the way back to Seremban in KL sentral.

Wows! The world is small. haha XD

WAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I'm a total genius. Really

Let's see, it's friday today, which means the assignment of a minimum of 5000 words is due 10.00am sharp. Be late and marks are deducted.

The whole week, I've been suffering from lack of sleep. Sleeping close to 2am and waking at 8am is bad. I know it's 6 hours but BUT I need more than that. haha XD I'm hoping to catch up on the weekends.

Yuppers, it's the due date thing that's killing us. By Wednesday, things were down to compiling, editing, other mini part. So basically, all we had, were the main body, all unedited and yet to be referenced properly. Go figure.

To top it off, we had the extra work of yes, we had to redo that fella's part. All over again. >_> How can we not? He basically plagiarized the whole point which he was suppose to write an essay of 800 words on. More like copied and pasted from websites, it's very obvious. The random combination of things, good english (which is not his strong point) and yea. So in the end, Hoe Leong and I did half of his for him.

It was kinda useless to ask him to redo, because all he did was come up with the similar thing again. And while the rest were busy with other parts of the report, all he did was sit beside us and ask questions all the time. Urghhh.....I'm being bitchy, I know.

We turned up at 10-ish on Thursday to compile and hopefully settle everything. It was killer long. I bet the chair I sat on was hot. LoL. Because I barely moved for the day. Good thing, I had some songs from my mp3, so I plugged it in and just continued my parts.

HL was being bugged, and he tried to direct him to ST and I (Go ask them how lar). At some point, it was getting really annoying, because I'm trying to figure out how to edit the part which was suppose to be his (in combining what Hoe Leong and I came up with), and he goes asking, "Siew Lings ar, can you teach me how to do the graphs on powerpoint?" oyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Ah right, wonderful timing you have. "Later"

We were desperately running out of time here. Yea, sorry Ching, couldn't join along for the Happy Feet movie at 2pm.

We spent our whole day at the computer lab, hogging up 5 pcs. Executive summary, table of contents, signature blocks, number pages, reference lists, editing, the usual stuffs. Up to 8.00pm. That has got to be the latest I've ever spent to finish assignments. Since usually, it's due by 5pm, so we're done by then, but when it's at 10am and the computer labs open at 8.30am, there's no point doing it tomorrow, there's simply isn't enough time.

The good part is that, he went home during the evening, hence less interruptions, bad part, I'm annoyed because we're doing all the work, all four of us. sheeshhh...I'm being whinny, aren't I?

Anyway, we finally concluded the whole thing. Dad was wondering where I was and was worried since I parked the kancil across the road and it was getting dark. Good thing, HL was nice enough to drop Shoba at the KTM, went to bind the report and drove me across the road. Poor S takes an average of 2 hours to reach home, ktm and bus. O___O The binding? Oh, simply because the office closes at 5pm, and since I live the nearest, I've been given the task to hand it in tomorrow morning, today that is.

And also, I'm the only one who hasn't submitted my resume and cover letter, because I figure the report was more important and yea..living nearby helps. XD It was also due on Friday, since the mock interview is scheduled on next week. Lucky me, my slot was the Monday one. Number 5 even. *dies*

Anyway, I went home. all dead tired. >_> Decided to read the report and found some grammatical errors. O___O ACK!! How to correct, it's all binded. And a HUGE error on my resume, which I had printed in the same binding shop.

So I decided to edit it and reprint it tomorrow morning.

Right.....only to then find, that my trusty mp3 player/pendrive is misplaced somewhere. *crash* HL said it wasn't in his car and neither was it in the kancil. Takkan I left in the shop? WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

so so SO

I now have to find it back, reprint my resume and submit the report tomorrow morning. I am appalled at my careless, twice in a week! what the crapppppppp

Things better be looking up....since I'm planning to have lunch with Ching and a couple others. After everything is handed in.

My week has been wonderful. Let's not forget, I have to prepare to answer the mock interview questions. Which also has marks for the subject. Dued next Monday, lucky victim number 5.

But wait, there was a part which I enjoyed. It was Wednesday's session. Our lecturer is awesome really, he had activites to keep us awake. haha XD

Like the one where he wanted to try impromtu (10 minutes to prepare a 7 minute speech) speech and told each group to come up with a topic and a victim to do the speech. While the other group members brainstorm on how to make the conventional graphs/charts more creative.

Our group wanted to be nice since we had no idea who would get the questions. So easy things like "cultural differences", "pollution" and "my family" popped up, until the lecturer pops over and says, 'Can't you come up with something better?' Shoba goes, 'What do you think, sir?' 'If I were a cornetto ice cream, I would...'

O________O whaddya question.

Btw we suspect he rigged the questions to make it more interesting because how else questions like 'If I were a superhero, I would...", "If I were a piece of paper, I would.....", "If I were a movie star, I would...." Catch the drift? =P

Some really interesting speeches which had the class roaring in laughter....were

If I were a cornetto ice cream, I would........

like to be a (bailey?...some flavour I couldn't catch) It's an alcoholic drink. And it gives temporaray pleasure like a martini

*inserts roars of laughter from the lecturer and students*

The poor blur fella gets a question from the lecturer because he ran out of things.

How would you like to be eaten?

.....I'd like to be unwrapped slowly...eaten from the bottom to top.

That sounds sooooo somewhat wrong, if you get what I mean. If you don't, you're probably underaged. =P

Next,

If I were a piece of paper, I want to be used as....

As money....I would be respected and valued by everyone. Everyone would take good care of me.

next, as Exam paper, much valued by you guys in 3 hours and then burnt or kept or stashed away

Or Certificates, you would keep safely me in the safe and treasure me

Contracts, because it holds a high value and kept

Cheques even, because it has value, facevalue.

And lastly....toilet paper is a no-no….I don't want fragrances of all kind and flushed down the toilet

Another one was really interesting,

My most embarrasing moment....

ML told a really hilarious story when she was standard 5, got tried by her older cousin of 2 years into cycling past a herd of cows from a hill fast enough, so that they would not get chased.

In the end, only she was duped into whizzing down the hill. When she stopped, she saw a herd of cows coming after her O___O And her cousin laughing from above.

In a flash of thought, she recalled her mother telling her the story of the hiker who faked his death in the attempt to evade a bear. I'm sure you remember that tale, yups?

So yea...she laidd down in the PATH OF THE COWS.

Thank goodness, the cow's caretaker came, saw her and took her on his motorcycle.

And apparently, at every reunion, gathering, and stuffs, the story of the girl who was chased by a herd of cows and faked her death comes up. haha XD

But other than that, my week was bordering on horrible bad luck >.> Weird and freaky even.

Forgot my exam, had a report due, spent 2 days in the comp lab finishing it and lost my pendrive/mp3 player. haiiiii.
