It's a shame that as our beloved country turns a ripe 50 years of age, there is still a lingering aura of uneasiness and tension.
It is most unsettling that this situation is being created by the very people whom we put our trust to lead and guide our nation as we strive to be recognised worldwide.
Our founding forefathers would turn in their graves to know that their fight for independence, a journey that has brought them closer in unity and cooperation with the many races which we are made up, is not appreciated by the people of today.
Why are there still race based political parties?
Why is there so little support for political parties which comprises of the many races which truly defines Malaysia for what it is?
Why are the very people who are leading us, so keen on disregarding the unity we have build up for years?
Why is corruption so blantly biased in our country?
Why are we still divided on the basis of our race?
Is our Independence not fought for by everyone, regardless of which race, because they believed in the place they called home?
Do we not have the right to call this place our home, the place our parents and their parents before us have grown up and died on this soil?
Does religion not teach us to treat everyone as your equal?
Why is double or even triple standards practiced?
As we ponder on the many unwritten questions, we should remember that the word Merdeka was not achieved by a single race but a combination of races. Should we not give credit as it is due?
Therefore we should embrace its meaning whole heartly.
Happy 50th Independence Day, Malaysia.

WTF.....
As terribly sleepy as I am right now, I'm so so pissed.
NEVER ever go to Fajar Art, specialising in signages and name cards, whatever ever.
They're most horribly deceitful!!!
It's at USJ 1 near the factory area, beside the temple. There's also another branch at USJ21, near the dim sum area. AVOID them.
I had gone with Wai Hou to get a few extra name tags printed, partly because mine went missing months back, so I figure I had to get a new one soon.
He said, they charged RM2 for his, so I figure why not? The auntie told us BOTH, it was RM1.50 when we asked the price.
That's when I went back alone to collect them a day later, Wednesday. They misprinted one of them.
AND I ONLY GAVE THEM 4 name tags, How can you screw one up, when it's all written down?!
So nevermind, I had to negotiate with the Auntie, since she seemed to be the one in charge. I was being very patient okay, I wait until her other customers finished their business even when I was there first, I waited for about 2 more persons before she gave her attention back to me. They kept interfering when I was negotiating.
I figure since I was the youngest one, it was common courtesy, even when my car was running on petrol outside, my bro and his friend was waiting.
Even in the end, logically, we're the worst one off. She told me to bring another tag for her to print, what? You think the tags we give you free is it?
Something about when you bring tags, you should always have extras. Hello, I only gave a friggin' FOUR tag, and even then you can mess one up!
I asked her to print another one with the logo, (we gave her the ones with logo, just have to print the name)she said it was very expensive, so I asked if she could pay us back for the blank tag. Unfortunately, when I asked Wai Hou, he had no idea how much it caused in the first place, so nevermind, I didn't mind. Note that I could have lied and just said a random price, since I was on the phone anyway. But I'm not that type of person.
Then I went back to give the blank tag to reprint. Hey, I didn't even mention my petrol, it's your fault and I have to kept going back and forth.
Then just now she charged me Rm2.50 per tag.
WTH?!
So I told her you said RM1.50 the other time. (She was charging for 4 tags, not including the one she or the worker messed up, but at RM2.50, any fool can calculate that you DID charge me for 5 tags at RM1.50 and there's even EXTRAS)
She and the lady worker insisted she said RM2.50. I was apprehensive at first, but I had to reconfirm with Wai Hou since he was with me the first time. I even said thank you before I went home.
He replied she DID charge him RM2 when he first did it and said RM1.50 on Tuesday!
I am so PISSED.
I should have thrown a fit right there, about what a BIG FAT LIAR she is. Right in front, of a lady she was discussing with.
But unfortunately, I'm also extremely tired, thanks to 3 horus sleep I got last night. Yep, it was ASS-ment, or more like I procrastinated. haha XD But I did managed to hand it in before the stipulated time, really I did.
That's why I didn't bother to wait for Wai Hou's reply through sms, and drove home only to find out that I was right.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! DANG IT!
Now I'm tired and pissed and annoyed.
PS - Wai Hou just smsed me that the lady said she would refund us the money and charge us RM1.50 this time and would I please go collect my money. WHAT THIS TIME? It's my LAST time. NO, thank you I'm done with wasting MY petrol and polluting the air to drive there and see her again.
PSS - She does not have the least bit of decency to try and cheat a student. And she does know that I'm one, since she asked me if I were a student while I was waiting for the tag.
Now, if you'll excuse my rantings, I'll go crash onto my bed. It's hols next week for me, so I'm not gonna let a liar spoil it for me. XD
