As Thomas and I were walking yesterday, on a perfect day I was reminded of how beautiful Newnan is. This is view walking into town, after we had already walked through the historic homes. I know it's not Europe, but it looks a little bit like it. (I can dream, right?) Then, on our way back out of town we walked over the bridge and looked at our new park. It's not finished yet, but Thomas and I are closely watching its progress, hoping that it will be ready in the spring for LOTS of playing time. We live in a truly beautiful part of the country, and I am so thankful for where God has us now with our new town, and all of our new friends that we're making! We obviously don't know the future, but we're very content with the present!
I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him in thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30And because of this thankfulness it makes me think about a verse that has come up over and over again recently.
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. Colossians 1:16And obviously this verse is significant. But, because it's come up recently around me several times (and also not in the form of this verse, but also in the form of a conversation with my mom about listening to God) I've been wondering what exactly God is wanting me to learn from this verse. And Brax and I were talking about it, and I occured to me that even though we have lots of different things going on, and we focus a lot on God's influence in our lives, I think he wants me to just focus on him. Not, on the things he's working on in my life, but just him.
So, now on to the fluffy, picture filled blog as it normally is...
