Here are some fall pictures of Thomas that we took yesterday. One could reappear on our Christmas card...

Rocking Horse

Papa was in the attic and found Brax and Katey's old rocking horse. Thomas loves it!

Thomas the Frog

For All Hallow's Eve this year Thomas was a frog. He went to Papa's office and to visit a few of Mimi and Papa's friends. He got no candy, and pretty much hated the hood. However, he did get one bag of Cheetos which he thorougly enjoyed and he got to ride up and down in one of the dental chairs in Papa's office. Who knew you could have so much fun at the dentist?!

Man Purse

Mimi's purse was on the floor and Thomas felt sure that he should take it to her in the other room, and also check to see what was inside it.

Long Sleeves

Image
This picture is in honor of the first day this fall that Thomas and I both needed to wear long sleeves.

18 Months

I haven't taken one of these pictures since Thomas was 12 months. It's crazy how fast time goes. It was quite a challenge to get him to sit still enough next to Hamley Bear to get the picture to work.

I'm going to sort of copy my friend Mary Faith and what she did on her blog for Drew when he turned 1.

At 18 months Thomas:

is 33 inches tall

weighs 22 pounds

can say (in his own way) ball, bubble, papa, pops, bye bye, please, sock, shoe, shirt, thank you, dog, hello, dada, mama, becky, baby, truck, car, choo choo

loves to play with balls, anything with wheels, phones, remotes and books

would prefer to be outside than doing anything else

sucks his two fingers and rubs his face with a blanket to go to sleep

has 11 teeth

loves to hear music (particularly 76 Trombones)

An afternoon with Papa

A few weeks ago everyone was going to be gone in the afternoon and Papa got the job of babysitting. He did what any good Papa would do; gave Thomas a bucket of rocks and a bucket of sand. Thomas who had never really experienced sand before spent much of the time giving himself a sand bath. He also spent quite a bit of time taking rocks from their bucket to the sand bucket, and the other way around.

I'll Be Watching You...

Image
Thomas watches everything we do. I know this, but sometimes I forget! He loves to sweep, and the other day he was sweeping in the kitchen while Mimi and I were in there. All of a sudden he walked over to the cabinet under the sink, opened it and pulled out the dustpan. I just stared at him. Mimi said that she had swept, and used the dustpan in front of him earlier in the week, but it just really surprised me that he thought of it and new right where it was...I've got to be careful!
