Ditto Landing
Sunday afternoon we ran to Wal Mart and got a kite and went to Ditto Landing. It was a great way to spend a few hours. Brax had fun flying the kite and Thomas helped a little (I even did it for a few minutes). They threw the football and of course Thomas had a great time climbing on Brax. Mae watched and slept in the stroller. We saw boats and ducks and pretty much just enjoyed the sun!
Strawberry Patch
Last year Mimi and Papa took Thomas to the Strawberry Patch. He had a great time picking and eating strawberries, so we thought it'd be fun to go this year. We went and picked up Mimi and drove to Rainbow Crossing. There was actually a closed sign up at the patch, but the field was full, and the owner said that she had come out for just a minute and people started showing up. The field was supposedly picked over, but we didn't have any trouble filling our two buckets. Thomas had a great time again, although wasn't very interested in eating the strawberries. In addition to Mimi's pound cake and stawberry cake, we've also made this and are planning to make this.
Baby Birds
A robin has built a nest where our wires meet our house. We had seen the robin sitting on it, and now there are baby birds! There are actually two that you can see. The back one is just the same color as the pipe.

Brotherly Love
Mae has been on the floor a lot more recently. Thomas feels that this is a great opportunity to show her exactly how much he loves her. He wants to lay on her, touch her face, hug her, kiss her. It's SO sweet, but we're working really hard to help him be gentle. At least he loves her! And notice her adoring face? She loves him too!
Five Months
Mae is five months old. She is so cheerful and smiley. Thomas makes her laugh more than anyone else, but she is content most of the time. I say most of the time because our four and a half months of being sequested has taken it's toll. Mae is VERY attatched to me. As long as I'm around she's fine. If I'm not around she's not necessarily fine. We're working on that.
At her doctor's appointment on Friday she weighed 15 pounds. She can roll from back to front and front to back. She constantly looks like she's trying to do crunches. Again, she LOVES to watch Thomas. She chews, drools and talks constantly. She has had a few more ear infections and we have a "tube consultation" with an ENT next week.
Here is Thomas at five months.
The A-Day Game
Brax and Thomas went to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama Spring Football game. They met Mimi and Katey down there. Thomas had a great time! His highlights were riding the bus (from the parking lot to the Quad) and walking up and down the ramps in the stadium with Aunt Katey.
Thomas is Three!
We had great birthday celebrations with Thomas! The day before his birthday Kati Ann came over to play. And then Mimi and Papa came over to celebrate with us because Brax and I had small group on the night of Thomas' actual birthday. He had so much fun opening his presents and eating cake and ice cream! Then on his actual birthday we just stayed home and he got to play with this new toys. He kept saying all day, "I'm three old!" We can't believe it's true.
I took him for his three year well check. He's growing well. He's 30 pounds with his clothes on and I didn't actually see how tall he was. The doctor said it's normal that he doesn't want to try new food and everything looks fine!

Easter
On Easter Sunday we went to the 8:30 service at church so that we could be in Birmingham for lunch. It was great to see the family as always and Thomas had SO MUCH FUN playing at Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary's house. Mae had fun smiling at everyone and rolling around on the floor!
