Last night when Brax and I switched cars so I could go caroling they apparently got in the car and Thomas said: Daddy, this is Coldplay. Please don't turn it off. (We don't only listen to Coldplay, but sometimes I need a tiny break from Famous Kids of the Bible and G.T. and the Halo Express!)
Today when Thomas got up from his nap: Mom, I didn't eat anything out of my nose during my nap.
Kim: Good.
Thomas: Just something out of my ear.
*Awesome!
Thomas coming downstairs about 45 minutes after he had been put to bed.
Kim: Thomas, why are you up?
Thomas: (With hand motions) My blanket just FLEW out of my bed!
Brax: I'm sure it came out because you threw it. Please go back to bed.
Thomas: Why is Mommy laughing?
The other day we pulled into Walgreens to pick up a prescription and Thomas said: But Mom, the walls aren't green!
Kim: Thomas could you please close that drawer.
Thomas: Mom, I'm having trouble closing it because Mae's foot is in there!

Update
We haven't had a whole lot of blog worthy stuff going on. I spend a lot of my days trying to keep Mae full, and trying to make sure Thomas eats. :) Two more different eaters you never did meet! :) We're loving the holiday time and I'm blaring Christmas music about 12 hours a day! I had my Christmas concert for the Huntsville Community Chorus. It was during the SEC Championship Game (which Bama won if you didn't know!!) and Brax was SO SWEET and insisted on coming! (He did have his radio with him, but he only put his headphones in between songs!) He was even gracious enough to keep the kids at home last night and let me go caroling with a group from church. It was bliss for me! Thomas is SO excited about Christmas coming!!! So, here's a little bit of what we've been up to!

Decorating the Tree
Thomas helped me decorate the tree this year for the first time. He probably could have last year, but we had a brand new baby, and so went for ease! He loved picking out the ornaments to put on and worked really hard to spread them out. He asked me as he picked up each ornament, "is this very breakable?" (Which reminded me of Marly King taking me to show me her tree and touching every single breakable ornament and saying, "This one is VERY 'breakavle!'")
Christmas Tree Farm
For the 3rd year in a row we went to the Christmas Tree Farm that is about fifteen minutes away from our house. There's something so fun about cutting down your own tree! We're a huge fan of it! Thomas had a great time helping, as always!
They've had reindeer the last two years as well, but this year as an added bonus they had Santa. Thomas was VERY excited about Santa. He kept asking when we were going to get to go see him. He was a very nice Santa and Thomas had fun talking to him-he told him that he wants "something that flies." Mae sat on his lap, and didn't smile, but didn't scream either!

Ever wondered...
...what Brax and I look like at 4:30am? Well this is it and it isn't pretty! :)
I hadn't ever participted in Black Friday before, and so we took our kids to spend the night at MiMi and PaPa's house Thursday night so we could go out Friday morning. We didn't want any of the big ticket items, so we just got to walk around and watch the craziness! It was REALLY fun, and it was great to get to go on a date, even if it was crazily early in the morning!!!

Thanksgiving 2009
Our Thanksgiving looked a little different this year and was even different that we were expecting. On Tuesday Mae came down with pink eye. Not wanting to spread it to all the kids that were going to be at Brax's Aunt and Uncle's house in Birmingham, we stayed home.
On Wednesday the kids and I went and got all the "fixings" for our Thanksgiving meal. It was fun to celebrate at home although holidays with a toddler and a baby are not quite as relaxed as some others! Mae ate all the Thanksgiving food! She loved it! Thomas ate a roll and a half. :) Such is life at our house.
And although it's cliche, we are of course VERY thankful for our many blessings!!
