I know the real reason ya'll come to the blog. These should not disappoint.
Thomas: Mom, this tag is scratching me.
Kim: Thomas, it's a shirt with no tag, but you can change it if you want.
Thomas (a few minutes later): Mom, I changed my shirt and look it has an "S" on the inside for "scratchy."
Thomas: Why are you putting those coffee grounds into that cup?
Kim: If I put it in the fridge it helps the smell go away.
Thomas: Oh good. That coffee smells awful!
Thomas: When are we going to finish reading the Blopsey Twins?
Thomas: Mom, I touched Mae's nose and asked her if it hurt. She said no, so I know it's not broken. If she had said yes I know it would be broken.
Kim: Do you like my new glasses?
Mae: No
Kim: Why?
Mae: They're not sparkly (pause) or Tinkerbelly
Thomas: Mom! Take a picture of this and send it to America's Home Funny Videos!

VBS
Last week was VBS. Our theme was "Sky" along with everyone else in the Western world and Thomas and Mae both had a great time. I enjoyed being the co-coordinator of the Adult and Teen Volunteer Snack Rooms with my friend Amanda. Gotta love some coffee punch!
Father's Day
We had a fun Father's Day. Mae had a fever virus, so Brax stayed home from church with the kids since I was singing. Then we went to MiMi and PaPa's for the afternoon. The kids got to go to PaPa's garden at his office and pick veggies. Then after a huge lunch (as always) we all went to the pool. I'm so thankful that I have a great dad, father-in-law and husband. And also that Thomas and Mae have such amazing Dads around them!
Pops and Gram come to town
The day after we got back from the beach Pops and Gram rolled into town. We only got to spend one evening with Pops, but he made the most of his time he played catch with Thomas in the backyard, hid Duke's rawhide from him a number of times, snuggled with Mae, etc. On Monday we took him to Nashville for some meetings and Gram came back for a few more days. We relaxed a lot, she did tons of laundry and made it to Thomas's last tball game, we went to the pool, did a little crafting and just enjoyed being together!
Daytona Beach 2012
This post is the reason I've been putting off blogging for so long. I took SO many pictures at the beach I was dreading going through them all and organizing them.
We really really had a great time on our vacation to Daytona Beach. Although we experienced our first tropical storm in Beryl, and therefore lots of rain, we still did all the things you do at the beach. Played in the waves (Mae only started doing this the last two days, but Thomas would have spent every moment down at the beach in the waves!), played in the sand, took white outfit pictures, played in the pool, played games, watched movies, celebrated Brax's birthday and National Donut Day, ate yummy seafood, had really sweet family time, stayed up too late and put on LOTS of sunscreen. Thanks for the time share points Pops and Gram!

In the Creek
It's been awhile since Thomas and Mae played in MiMi and PaPa's creek. A couple of weeks ago I took some of their old swimsuits, so they could play as much as they wanted. Mae wasn't really that interested in getting wet, but the two of them stayed down there for at least an hour. Mainly throwing rocks and sticks!
The Muckdogs
Thomas had a really fun t-ball team this year. Since it was our second year, we actually knew a couple of the kids/parents from last year. Plus, some of our sweet friends from church requested Brax as a coach, so their son Luke was on our team also.
Brax chose the Muckdogs at our team name. It's a minor league team who knows where that has a super fun logo!
We had a great great team of parents, and the kids had fun playing. Here are a couple of pictures from one of Thomas's games. He was way improved from last year.
Field Day
Well, I supposed I've put off blogging long enough. :)
Thomas had field day at school right before the end. I volunteered and stood by a huge inflatable jumpy thing for an hour and a half. But not before I got a couple of picture of the bud. He took his shoes off at the beginning and didn't put them on again until the end. H.O.L.E.S. in his socks! He had a really fun, hot, sticky time!
