Go Weiser!!

My dad came down about a month ago for the Weiser playoff game at the Holt. I decided to make Quintin a Weiser shirt for the big game. We ran out of ink, so it's a little pink, and I burnt the iron-on, so it's a little yellow too. Here are some of the pictures. As you can tell, Quintin is a huge fan!!

Here are some Halloween pictures of me, Quintin, and some creepy guy with tight pants! We just went to our church "Trunk or Treat" activity for our Halloween fun. Brian won the adult costume contest. He looked so nasty! We drove in seperate cars, and I got there first. I was standing there talking to another couple, and the guy looked towards the door and with a disgusted face said "Who's that?" I quickly looked over, and shamely replied "Brian." He looked great, but let's be honest, he's not meant to be a cowboy!! We wanted to be creative with Quintin's costume, but didn't have time, so luckily Amy sent us a cute penguin costume that we used. I'm so glad he was a penguin, because he was the only baby there that wasn't a pumpkin. Someone suggested that we make him be Albert Einstein because of his crazy hair, but we weren't too sure how to do it without lots of makeup and coloring for his hair. We didn't want to overload him with chemicals all over his skin, so we just stuck with the penguin. As you can see he loved the night, but got a little worn out by the end.

Here are some of my favorite recent pictures of Quintin. I love his picture in the bumbo chair. He looks so grown up to me. He doesn't love it, but he would if I would let him sit in front of the TV in it. The kid loves TV, but because of that, he sure doesn't get much!! Only when we're desperate. I took the picture of him in his crib, because he looked so cute in his new outfit from Marcie. He has a matching stuffed animal moose with a camo scarf that he likes to cuddle with, so I thought they'd make the perfect picture together. I don't love the picture of us sleeping, but I thought it would be a good memory. I know it's a bad habit, but each morning when Brian gets up at 5:30 or 6, Quintin usually wakes up also (I have no idea why, since they're not even in the same room). He usually has at least two hours left of sleep in him, but he'll only sleep with me, so he takes Brian's spot. I know it's not a good habit, but I figure it's just an hour a day, and not even every day.

So my sister Amy just emailed me, and we had brought up conference talks. They're all always wonderful, and I wish I took more time to go back and re-read them. I was thinking about some of my favorites, and a group came to mind. They are some of Elder Holland's last talks. I love how boldly but also humbly he speaks!! I'm sure most who heard them remember them, as they were so amazing and hard to forget (except when trying to apply them-I seem to forget them pretty easily then). I went back and read them, and I thought I would put the links to them on my blog, in case anyone else wants to read them. Here they are. This is kind of a boring video, but Quintin loves to talk (obviously a Mullinix), and I spend all day trying to record it. He sees the camera or my phone, and is instantly quiet. Finally today I got a little bit recorded. Sorry it's kind of long.

Grandpa Junior

Some of our friends in Utah who have only met my dad once, commented one time that Quintin looks like my dad. I just laughed. However, the other day I looked over at him, and he had a worried/stressed look on his face, and his eyes looked just like his Grandpa Mullinix. My dad emailed us some of his baby pictures, but they won't seem to upload to the blog, so we have nothing on here to compare them to. But these are some of his pictures that I thought looked like my dad. One of his new nicknmes is Grandpa Jr.
