We took Luc to the pottery painting place to do his hand and foot prints on a plate for me. I love to paint pottery. Well the hand prints didn't really work out but I got the foot prints. Luc didn't enjoy his Daddy painting his feet. It was tickling and I wouldn't let him grab his foot. The plate turn out really cute though.

This wasn't Luc's first reaction to the beach. It was just a random day out there. He likes to sit at the edge of the water. I hate sitting down there because you always end up with tons of sand in your bathing suit. The things we do for our babies though.

We gave Luc a taste of cereal around 4 and a half months. He knew exactly what to do with it. He seemed to like it too. We only did it a couple of times. It made him a bit constipated and he stopped sleeping as much during the night (because of being constipated). I don't really want to fool with it while we are traveling so we're going to hold of on the food for now. His doctor in Austin said they don't recommend starting until 6 months anyway. Here is a fun video of it though.


We gave him bananas one day too. Watch this one until the end. It's pretty funny.

Update

Here are more pictures. These are in order since the Fourth of July week. We have a lot of traveling to do over the next three weeks. We've already left the beach house. I was so depressed to leave. We are in Huntsville visiting Brian's family now. We are then making a quick trip to my parents for a family reunion. Then we are going to Auburn and Atlanta then back to Auburn for "Uncle" Bret's wedding. Then back to Fort D. We are leaving Alabama on August 16 heading back to Austin. As much as I am so sad to be leaving, I am SO ready to be back at OUR house. I am ready for OUR bed, OUR kitchen, OUR bathroom, MY car (thanks to Myra and Patrick for taking care of it for the past few months).

Pictures and updates

Here are some pictures from the past week or two. Luc's favorite things are sucking his toes (especially when he's getting his diaper changed mostly), rolling around and scooting, reading "Goodnight Moon", watching dogs (only certain dogs are really funny to him though...it's hilarious), sitting up proped on his hands, playing in his excersaucer, doing anything outside until he gets hot, squealing really loud (especially in church) and of course eating. He knows when I'm getting ready to feed him now. He starts panting like a dog and licking his lips. It is so funny. He doesn't like laying down to bath anymore. He gets really mad when I won't give him the rag. Oh and he hates riding in the car now. I am hoping it is only because it is so hot. It's going to be really bad if that's not the case. He also loves to be in the pool and he likes the beach. He doesn't like the ocean. I haven't really put him in the ocean much because jellyfish have been really bad this year. I am terrified that he will get stung.

Luc was in a child/baby contest in our neighborhood. He won 2nd place. I think the judges were paid because he was definitely the cutest baby ;-)
