Over the past 4 months

Ok! So I am 4 months behind!

We have had many changes over the past 4 months to include our move back to Boise, ID. After living in Phoenix for 7.5 years, we decided that God was paving a different path for us and our children. He opened our eyes as we prayed over our lives and HE lead us in our journey back to Boise.

God works in many different, and often times, very direct ways. God blessed me with a nurse practitioner job at St. Lukes Hospital working for general surgery. Even though it was not trauma surgery, which I love and do miss, it was obvious that this was the next job for me. So far I am enjoying the new challenges and learning curve of general surgery. I feel blessed to have a great job.

Bryan stayed behind in Phoenix for a couple months to get our home situated for rental and God, in HIS perfect timing, lead renters to our home so we don't have the mortgage hanging over our heads. During Bryan's time over the past 6 weeks, his job offered him a significant raise to stay working out of the phoenix office. Initially this through us in a bit of confusion, however, God made it clear that this was part of HIS plan. Bryan will work Monday through Thursday in Phoenix and then come home to Boise for the weekends.

"What does not kill us will make us strong!"

It is with the willingness of our awesome parents that all of this is working out in the best ways for us. Kevin and Jeanne are allowing Bryan to live with them during the week, and Debbie and Tori are gracious in letting me and the kids live in their home until the time is right for us to find a new home in Boise.

Debbie, you are making great sacrifices in caring for our children during the week while I am away at work and we are very grateful and appreciative off all that you are doing. "Thank you."

Tori, thank you for sharing your home with us and giving up your peace, quietness and space for me and the kids!

Kevin and Jeanne, thank you for allowing Bryan to share your home during the week. We are so grateful for all of your love and support. We miss you both so much and can't wait to see you in 3 weeks!

As soon as I get my computer set up, new pictures will appear! My camera broke earlier in the year so I need to download pictures from my iPhone for posting.

As we continue to get settled, our blog will remain up to date, especially for our friends and family away. It is so nice to finally have "fall" in the air and scenery again. I have missed the seasons over the past 7 years. We miss all of our friends and family in Phoenix! Until we see you again in person, please keep in touch!

We were blessed to be able to go to Kona, Hawaii in March with Debbie and Tori as we celebrated our upcoming 10th anniversary. Yes, we went alone....no kids! They though that they were getting the better end of the deal anyway by being able to stay with Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Kevin. They were so excited to stay for 10 days with them and they had a lot of special fun as well as Bryan and I. On our vacation, we went on a snorkling trip, went shopping, spent a lot of time swimming at various beaches (seeing sea turtles), took a long drive on the island to a famous bakery and just had time to hang out playing cards etc. We had a great time!

RSV/Pneumonia

Image At the begining of March, Jane came down with RSV and Pneumonia. We had to do breathing treatments for her wheezes. She took it like a trooper. In fact, there have been some times since the RSV that she will periodically get isolated wheezing episodes where we have to do a breathing treatment. Her doctor said this year has been really bad with the RSV and the kids' lungs seemed to take a big hit and had a hard time getting better.
Wyatt is such a sweet brother and was reading a book to Jane when she was not feeling well.

February in Phoenix

Image This is what we do in February here as our weather is perfect for the outdoors! Wyatt had his turn to take the bunny from school home and take care of it so we had to take it on a bike ride to the park.

Happy Birthday Jane

Image Jane turned three and she is such a big girl. Occsionally I will get asked if her and Wyatt are twins. Jane continues to want to do everything that Wyatt does, as you saw in the last posting that she started pre-school and loves every minute of it. We are now into June (yes this posting is late!) and Jane recognizes every letter of the alphabet and she is basically writting her name, with the J backwards. She is such a sweet little girl but she will also let you know what she wants, which is typically her way or the highway! She had a great birthday of Dora the Explorer as this is her favorite right now. We did a Dora cake and we played pin the tail on the donkey. We love you so much Jane and you are our special little "doodle bug."

Cute Kids

Image The other day we were getting ready to go the Costco and Wyatt pulled his vest out of the closet and put it on to wear. Bryan said, "let me go and get my vest and wear to too." However, Bryan chickened out and as he set it on the chair in the garage before getting into the car he said, "My vest is too hot for me to wear right now. Yours is not hot like mine." Wyatt was so cute and proud that his daddy wanted to be like him!
Jane loves to help me clean, as you can see below, she is cleaning the windows to help me!
Since Jane is 2 going on 10 and wants to be just like Wyatt, they might as well be twins, she wanted to go to pre-school. Her first day was yesterday and she was so excited! She had to wear her Dora backpack. She is in with the 3 year olds who have been going to school since last fall. She was excited to stay and could have cared less that I was leaving her. In fact, the night before she asked when could she ride the bus to kindergarden! Her class is on Tues and Thurs mornings, and as the news was given to her that she did not have school today like Wyatt, the meltdown began! She cried and cried and said that nobody likes her cause she can't go to school and she wants to go all the days that Wyatt does. The meltdown lasted until after we dropped off Wyatt at school, got home, and then put in a movie and made popcorn. My little baby is already a little girl....as my dad said, "Great. She is going to graduate high school when she is 16 and college when she is 18!"
I love to watch the kids grow and continue to adopt their individual personalities. They are so special and are such great kids. I love you both so much!
