New Bikes

Today John surprised Daniel by taking him shopping for a brand spanking new bike! He picked orange, and is still learning how to ride it without his training wheels on. He is definitely nervous, but I think if we keep working this week, he'll hopefully be free wheelin' by the weekend!

Spring Has Sprung

I love the changing of the seasons. I think each and every season has something special to offer, no matter which one it is. Spring is one of my favorite times of year. The forsythia is in full bloom, tulips, hyacinths, daffodils.....they're all in their fully glory! One of the beautiful things Spring has to offer is right here in our very own front yard. These Pear Trees line our driveway, and the new green buds are beginning to open just a little bit, and the white flowers are beginning to break through.

I love these little white buds as they begin to sprout and burst through.
A few of our trees even have birds nests built way up in the top branches. New life, is around us everywhere.

What a beautiful reminder of the new beginning Jesus gave us when he died for us on the cross. We are so lucky!

Sparky

Daniel won a goldfish at the Easter "EGG" stravaganza on Saturday. It was gold and white, and he aptly named it "GOLDIE". However, as with most goldfish won at carnivals and such, I was certain it wouldn't last through the weekend. Well, Goldie definitely surprised me when he didn't even make it TO DINNER! Geez!!!! So, Daniel's Daddy quickly took his heartbroken little self to our local Walmart and helped him pick out our newest addition, "Sparky", a red beta fish. So far, we're in at 4 days! WAHOO!!! I think this is gonna be a good fit for our family. Welcome, Sparky!

He is Risen! Easter Sunday Morning

We don't have an Easter Beagle....but we DO have an Easter Boxer!!! Maggie wanted to get into the act and have her picture taken too. LOL!These boys get more handsome every time I look at their shining faces!

The Best Gift ANY OF US could receive has already been given for us. The Life of Jesus and his death upon the Cross to die for our sins was the most precious gift we could ever have received! The Tomb is Empty! He Is Risen!!!!!

UVCC Easter "EGG" stravaganza!

Our church had an outreach program on Easter Weekend. Daniel was especially excited to attend this event! He kept remind us over and over again about it for about 3 weeks!!! There was an Easter Jam complete with music and the Easter Message. then an Easter Egg Hunt, Candy, games, goldfish, and M-O-R-E!!!!! We had such a fun time. And, we were all so glad to spend the time together as a family. I love making memories like these!

Ziploc House Party

There is the coolest website ever that my friend Diantha introduced me to. It's at www.houseparty.com and it's AMAZING! I have been lucky enough to be selected as a hostess for House Party 2 times. Once for a Firefly Lane book club, and this time, for Ziploc brand organizing items.
