Build w/ Gemini – HackDays @ KIIT is an intense, one-day mini-hackathon where creators, coders, and beginners team up to build AI-powered projects using Google Gemini and MongoDB. It’s fast, fun, and designed to push your creativity to the next level.

From rapid prototyping to hands-on mentorship, this event is all about learning by building. Whether you're exploring AI for the first time or leveling up your existing skills, this hackathon gives you the perfect space to experiment, collaborate, and ship something awesome.

  • 09:30 AM – 10:00 AM → Welcome + Kickoff

  • 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM → Icebreaker

  • 10:30 AM – 01:30 PM → Coding Session 1

  • 01:30 PM – 02:00 PM → Lunch Break

  • 02:00 PM – 04:00 PM → Coding Session 2 + Mentorship Round

  • 04:00 PM – 05:30 PM → Demo + Judging

Requirements

To qualify for judging, teams must submit the following on Devpost:

1️⃣ Project Build

Your submission must include a working prototype created during the hackathon.
Projects must use at least one Google Gemini feature (API, model, or integration).
Using MongoDB is optional but earns bonus points.

2️⃣ Project Description

Your Devpost page must clearly explain:

  • What your project does

  • The problem it solves

  • Key features

  • Tech stack used

  • How Gemini (and MongoDB, if used) are integrated

3️⃣ GitHub Repository

Include a public GitHub repo containing:

  • Your complete source code

  • Setup instructions (how to run your project)

4️⃣ Screenshots

Add 2–4 clear screenshots of your UI or output.

5️⃣ Team Information

List:

  • All teammates

  • Roles/contributions

  • Tools and technologies used

    Judges will evaluate how creatively and effectively the project integrates Google Gemini, including how well the API is used, the depth of AI features implemented, and the overall impact Gemini brings to the solution.
