Mom Goes on Lots of Hikes! It's Heaven!

I absolutely love hiking and being in trees and nature. It's my favorite. But every year I let fall get away and not enjoy the mountains as much as I should or want. But I was determined to take advantage of the mountains and trees this year! And fall has felt so long this time around where usually it feels so short. I LOVE NATURE! God is good.

This was my first "fall" hike for my birthday. Grandma watched Benson for me so I could enjoy some solitude for my birthday. The first signs of fall were present. I get so excited when the leaves start changing!

I LOVE aspens. I love how some twist and turn as they grow. Reminded me that we all have different jouneys and different paths but if we are striving our best to reach God, reach heaven then that's all that matters. What direction were we reaching in the end?

Sundance Zip-lining Date

Cade and I took Nora and Reese on a date to Sundance to do their zip line course. They had SO much fun that they know what job they both want when they turn 18. "You can get paid for doing this??!" We all had a blast.

Reese's Dirty Job

Reese and Kenzie wanted to earn money to go on choir tour this coming spring. All the money has to be earned by the first of January. I knew of a way they could make some decent money in one afternoon. They took flyers around to the neighborhood to clean garbage cans. They worked super hard for about 4 hours and washed about 18 cans in one afternoon. Emma and I went around and picked them up and lined them on the street. Reese and Kenzie got to work and immediately were mad at me for signing them up for this kind of work 😆. But they earned $400 between the 2 of them and had a few other neighbors donate to Reese's cause. They were troopers! But needless to say...they will not be doing that again! hahaha

Miss E's First Dance/Date

Emma got asked out to a Homecoming Dance by her good friend Josh Richardson. He and his twin brother have been 2 of Emma's best friends since 6th grade. She was very excited and she looked absolutely beautiful. She immediately became great friends with their friends.

Bleak Family Staycation

This year instead of going to Bear lake or Island Park we did a simple one day staycation. We rented a backyard space on Swimply. It had a big pool, pickleball, playhouse, volleyball. It was super super fun! We even brought a recliner for Grandpa Bleak who broke lots of bones in a bike accident a few weeks earlier (he broke several ribs and shattered his collarbone). We all love spending time together.
