Labor Day 2010--Payson Lakes
We didn't have much going on for Labor Day this year, so we decided to take a drive up to Payson Lakes. It is such a nice beautiful drive and so pretty and peaceful once you get up there. We walked around the lake, skipped rocks and just had a great day as our little family.
Tate's First Day of Preschool--September 2010
For Tate's two years of preschool, I was his teacher and all he had to do was walk downstairs. Most days he didn't even have to put on a pair of shoes. It was a great set up, but on the downside. I was usually so stressed and worried about getting everything ready, that I would forget to take pictures. Thank goodness I had a few friends who remembered to do it for me. This is Tate's first day of his second year of preschool. It was such a fun class this year with so many of his cute friends. We had a great time! What a handsome little boy!
Two Dollar Tuesdays--August 2010
Who can pass up Two Dollar Tuesdays? It is absolutely crazy and packed with people. But, that is the only way my child is going to see the Dinosaur Museum. Once again we braved it and joined the rest of Utah at Thanksgiving Point for the day. We went to the Dinosaur Museum and then over to the farm. It was a fun filled day.
Playing in the sand and water table!
Digging for Dinosaur Bones
I love these next two pictures of Hannah, Micah and Tate. So cute how they are holding hands and just having so much fun together as friends.
Three very tired and happy kiddos!
Grandma's Sleepover--August 2010
My mom had to have a knee replacement in August. We were also suppose to spend a weekend as a family up in Park City. Well, mom was up to heading out, so we all came to her for a sleepover. It was fun to spend the night eating, playing and watching movies. Then, we woke up and made a super yummy breakfast. Thanks mom for such a great memory. I didn't take too many pictures, but here are a few I did get of Tate playing with his cousins. It's so fun when they all get together and have a chance to play!
Rainy Day--August 2010
One super rainy August day, my friend Jenn and I decided to take our kids up to the Children's Discovery Museum up at Gateway. It was so much fun. I had no idea how big it is and how much their is for the kids to do. We stayed all day and the kids never got tired of playing.
So much fun playing all the different instruments. They had some really neat drums that Tate loved playing as well.
Testing out his construction skills.
What a handsome chef!
They went to a little science class that taught them all about bees and nectar. They got to make their own nectar, make and art project and have a snack.
The newest Channel 5 News Anchors!
Testing his skills as a weatherman.
Tate loved this little station where you could make your own parachute using paper muffin cups and pipe cleaner and then you could put it in the wind tunnel to see if it would fly.
It was pouring for most of the day and so the kids couldn't go outside to check out the Life Flight helicopter. It finally cleared up for a few minutes at the end of the day and Tate was able to have a chance to sit inside the helicopter.
Highland Slash Pad-August 2010
My friend showed me this great splash pad in Highland. I didn't have my camera when I went with my friend, but my sister and I decided to go back and let the kids play. This time I had the camera to catch a few pictures. It was so much fun. Such a great place to play!
Tate and his cousins having so much fun!
Living Planet Aquarium--August 2010
Kraig's cousin works at the Aquarium and offered to give us a pass to come and check out the place. I had never been, but had been wanting to take Tate. So, we made a day out of it. We went to lunch and then headed to the Aquarium. Tate loved touching the sting rays, seeing the jellyfish and the sharks. But, his favorite was the penguin exhibit. What a fun place to visit!
Tate thought it was so cool to be able to touch the sting ray.
Just my size!
While we were watching the penguins, they came to feed them. While there were people in with the penguins feeding them, there was someone on the outside talking to the kids telling them all about what was happening. They allowed a little question and answer time. Tate's hand shot up wanting to know the all important question, "What is the penguins favorite color?"
