I am so lame it has been 8 months since I updated....

Here is a month by month of what has been going on.

October 2013
The girls were unicorns for Halloween.  I made their costumes and am very proud of the horn headbands.  We had a great outing to the Omaha Zoo.  Adam learned how to crawl.

November 2013
Layla had her tonsils removed.  She was an excellent patient.  We had a fantastic Thanksgiving.  Suzy and Quentin came to visit.  We visited the Federal Reserve with them.  They were wonderful to help us host several friends for Thanksgiving dinner.

February 2014
Cassy came to visit KC for the first time!  We hope she had a good time relaxing and taking a break. The girls loved putting Lego sets together.  My girls are very good at Legos.  Jade (age 3) and Layla (age 5) can follow the picture directions and put adult sets together.  I am very impressed.

March 2014
Adam turned one on March 2nd!  He is such a sweet little guy.  He is very busy!  At one he walks and says a few words like Mama, Dada and more.  Layla and Jade helped me design a fancy robot cake for his birthday.  In March we also went to Colorado for Spring Break.  We took the Amtrack from Granby to Glenwood Springs.  It was very fun!  Some highlights include swimming in the pool, dancing and taking pictures in the Granby train station, visiting with Amish on the train.  When we arrive in Granby we noticed the passengers who had gotten on at the station had left bags of food including warm Subway sandwiches. Suzy and Quentin took the bags and saved the day by delivering the food to them at the Frasier station.

April 2014
We sold our house in Kansas City and bought a house in Wyoming.  The closing dates are the end of May so April was spent cleaning, traveling and starting to get ready to make our big move to Wyoming.  We also celebrated Layla's 6th birthday.  She is such a sweet girl.  Her reading has taken off recently.  She is also a great friend with many kids who love her at school.  She is a great big sister. Sometimes she tries to convince Jade to only make good choices so I have an easier day.  I just love my sweet Layla.  We worked on bike riding skills to get Jade ready for bike day at preschool.  Dave also took Jade to the Kansas City Symphony.  She loved it!  She liked listening to the emotion of the music.

Layla's favorite birthday present.

That has been the past 8 months in a nutshell.  We are moving to Casper, WY at the end of May 2014 for Dave to start his first job post residency.  We are excited to be closer to family, closer to mountains, in a medium sized town and be done with residency!

Cara and Jade walking along the ocean.  This is the only time Jade walked in the ocean.  The rest of the time she said she was afraid of the water and would run away.  But she loved building sand castles.

Layla loved the ocean.  She ran and played in the waves as much as she could.  She learned to boogie board and body surf.
