[Dior] Rouge Cinema (#849)(2023 version)

Merry Christmas everyone, and thanks for stopping by! I hope you’re not too busy and have finished your Christmas preparations so you can fully enjoy the holidays. I’m back in my small hometown of Nienburg, and it’s really chilly outside. I’ve heard it’s one of the coldest winters in years, although it still won’t be snowing.

Since I’ve already posted the two Chanel nail colours for the holidays, I chose Rouge Cinema for this post. With its brick-red shade, it isn’t a typical Christmas colour, but it still feels perfectly suited to the cold winter season.

[Chanel] Alchimiste (#369)

With the first Advent, Christmas is getting closer. So on this last day of November, I’d like to show you the second Chanel nail polish from this year’s holiday release: Alchimiste. It’s a metallic red with a touch of orange.

It’s a perfect shade for the festive season. I applied two coats.

[Chanel] Passe-Muraille (#117)

Halloween is just around the corner! I spent my autumn holidays on the beautiful island of Malta, followed by an international Mensa gathering in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I stayed until yesterday. Now that I finally have some time to post, I wanted to share Passe Muraille. Released in summer 2023, it’s not exactly new, but its rosewood brown shade is perfect for autumn days. I also received the two new Chanel nail colours for Christmas (I picked up the parcel yesterday right after returning from Düsseldorf). They’re absolutely stunning, and I hope to post them soon.

[Chanel] Dazzling Artist (#405)

Summer is nearly over, but I hope yours was as wonderful as mine. I spent lots of time in Nienburg and at swimming pools, which I really enjoyed. Next up is Fantasy Filmfest starting mid-next week.

While in Nienburg, I swatched Dazzling Artist — a light, muted pink with a pearly shimmer finish.

I applied two coats. Honestly, I wasn’t too happy with how the shade looked on my nails. Maybe I’ll give it another try once my skin is less tanned from the summer sun.

[Chanel] Pionnière (#361)

I finally got my hands on Pionnière, which was initially sold out at the Chanel online shop back in March. I had almost forgotten about this shimmery pink until I found it again while browsing the nail polish section a few weeks ago – and now it’s mine.

To be honest, I really like this pretty pink shade. It’s beautiful, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it complements my tanned skin. Shown below with two coats.

[Chanel] Sunset Surfer (#407)

Sunset Surfer stands out with its orange base, making it a perfect shade for summer. On top of that, it’s packed with small glass flakes.

It’s not fully opaque with two coats, but for me, the coverage was good enough.

I initially thought Sunset Surfer looked similar to Miami Peach, but I had to wait until I was back in Hamburg to compare them. While Miami Peach contains more glitter particles that give it a subtle golden shimmer, it leans more towards peach (i.e., less orange) overall.
