With a new baby I also have a new hobby. . . taking pictures of my new baby :)! I can't believe how fast she is already changing after 2 weeks! Here are some pictures of her two Christmas dresses from her Grandmas.

I just wanted to share a funny story that has just made this Christmas Season for me. I laugh just thinking about it. The day before I went into the hospital to be induced "All I want for Christmas" came on the radio. Casey and I were in our bedroom and when it got to "You" in the song I pointed to my belly. So Casey started singing and we both started dancing around singing this song to our little baby who would be here in 24 hours and if you you know the two of us, it was a funny sight to see us dance and belt out this song! Now every time we hear that song we say it's our family's song.
I hope you are all enjoying the season right now and making great memories with your families. I pray that we can all remember what this time of year is all about. It is so amazing having a brand new baby at the time of Christ's birth and to imagine some of the feelings that Mary may have had. This is the best time of year and I hope we can always ReMeMbEr the ReAsOn for the SeAsOn! Merry Christmas!!

Myka Marie Hansen

As most of you know by now, SHE IS HERE! Myka Marie Hansen was born 12.6.08 at 2:15 am (I went to the hospital the day before at 8 in the morning so it was a long day!). She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long. This baby girl has already been such a blessing in our life, and as most of you have guessed, she has stolen Casey's heart!!

counting down the HOURS!!

I was thinking yesterday that the idea of being a mother still doesn't seem real, and then I realized. . . I'm down to HOURS, it's going to be VERY real VERY soon!! The past month I have hardly been able to catch my breath it has flown by so fast (I'm sure the next will do the same!), I just can't believe how fast our life is changing! Today we are trying to finish up our final assignments and exams so that we won't have to worry about school when the baby gets here. . . oh and if you haven't heard, I am getting induced on FRIDAY! AHHHH! The doc stripped my membranes Monday (which I kept regretting afterwards because my mom can't be here until Thursday!), but don't worry, little Myka is still in there kickboxing away. It is only a few days until we have her face posted all over this blog, and I'll be thinking, "that wasn't too bad". . . haha yeah right!

CARSEAT time!!

Since we have AT MOST 10 DAYS until baby Myka gets here, we decided to attempt putting the carseat in the car! Haha we're rookies at this parenting thing, but I know we'll get the hang of it! Casey is already such a great dad . . . (and a hot one too :)!!)

Idaho Baby Shower

This past weekend my mom and sisters put on a baby shower for me in Rigby, Idaho at my cousin Stevie's house. We were a little afraid that no one would show up because we decided to do it the last minute, but we had a great turnout! I had a lot of cousins that I don't get to see very much so it was a good time just to catch up with everyone. My mom did an amazing job with the food and the fun games (which was a reality check on how big I must really look haha!), and it would be just like her to throw a party for someone else on her birthday! She is such an amazing, selfless person, and I was so happy that we got to spend that night celebrating her birthday with her. It was such a fun weekend, and my favorite part was being able to see so much family!!

WELCOME!!

I finally decided to make a blog to keep everone updated on the exciting changes coming up in our life! We are expecting a baby girl on Dec. 10, and we couldn't be more excited for her to get here!! We have been living and working in Vernal, Utah, but we are moving back to Cedar City in January to finish school. We will be sad to be moving away from our family, but we are excited to get Casey teaching!
