Christmas Eve was wonderful! We spent it with Dave's family. We were so glad that we were able to make it to there house, we weren't sure if we could weather the storm but with Dave's lightning reflex's and quick manuevering abilities we made it safe and sound.
We enjoyed rasberry glazed ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, carrots and 7 layered jello, it was quite the feast and well worth the white knuckled drive through the snow storm.
Grandma Net bought my girls matching pj's and cute fuzzy slippers. We sang Christmas carols on their new baby grand piano and read about the birth of Jesus. Time flew by so fast, it was about 9:25 when we left their house and hurried home to get my girls in bed. While we were tucking them in we heard the front door slam, the girls became stiff in their beds! They knew that Santa was downstairs and they didn't dare move a muscle. I asked Maddie over and over if she wanted to go and peek at Santa. She refused and through her tears shared her fear of being seen and Santa leaving her coal. I finally convinced her and the other girls to come and peek at Santa, and sure enough he was there putting goodies in their stockings. Maddie made it down the stairs, but couldn't make herself look! Santa took our Mr. Peeps with him back to the North Pole. It was a magical night.
