How could I forget the Christmas Dresses?! They looked so cute!

Christmas Morning was the best Christmas ever and in these pictures you can see why, Santa brought two Hamsters a baby and a guitar!!!!
Please excuse the laughter, I don't know where they get their dance moves!

Christmas Eve was wonderful! We spent it with Dave's family. We were so glad that we were able to make it to there house, we weren't sure if we could weather the storm but with Dave's lightning reflex's and quick manuevering abilities we made it safe and sound.

We enjoyed rasberry glazed ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, carrots and 7 layered jello, it was quite the feast and well worth the white knuckled drive through the snow storm.

Grandma Net bought my girls matching pj's and cute fuzzy slippers. We sang Christmas carols on their new baby grand piano and read about the birth of Jesus. Time flew by so fast, it was about 9:25 when we left their house and hurried home to get my girls in bed. While we were tucking them in we heard the front door slam, the girls became stiff in their beds! They knew that Santa was downstairs and they didn't dare move a muscle. I asked Maddie over and over if she wanted to go and peek at Santa. She refused and through her tears shared her fear of being seen and Santa leaving her coal. I finally convinced her and the other girls to come and peek at Santa, and sure enough he was there putting goodies in their stockings. Maddie made it down the stairs, but couldn't make herself look! Santa took our Mr. Peeps with him back to the North Pole. It was a magical night.

Happy Birthday Madison! On Saturday Dec. 22nd we celebrated Madison's 7th birthday by going to see Enchanted, we all loved it. We brought my little bro, who is a little too cool for his own boots, and he even laughed out loud several times! For dinner Maddie requested homemade pizza, so we made pepperoni, cheese and bbq chicken (a little shout out to Kata for helping me master that one!) They turned out great. She also requested banana splits, cause she was dying to try the cherry on top! Ends up she doesn't like them, but managed to keep herself busy with her new toys. A special thanks to one of Maddie's best friends, McKenzie Skelton, she mailed Maddie a cute Littlest Petshop, there is nothing like getting a package in the mail!

A little shout out to my cousin Chris Rush and his new bride Lori, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 20th. I love weddings not only because it reminds me of the wonderful day when I married my own handsome prince, but because it brings the family together. I got to see cousins that I hadn't seen in a long time. Here is a picture of one of my most beloved cousins, Kim. As young girls we convinced ourselves that we were twins, we couldn't understand why the rest of the world could tell us apart. The other picture is of me and my main squeeze at the luncheon. Don't worry all you Rush cousins, we are totally jealous that you are soaking up the sun in Hawaii while we wrap up in our warm pj's and drink hot cocoa during the blizzard!

Here is Mr. Peeps. He is one of Santa's little Elves. He comes the first day of December and sticks around to spy on my girls to see if they really are being naughty or nice!

Every morning my girls race downstairs to see if Mr. Peeps has moved, which is a good indicator that they are being good.

This particular morning Mr.Peeps was found relaxing on top of the microwave. The girls love Mr.Peeps and sure try hard to be really really good!

Footprints in the sand....wait that is snow!!
One ongoing joke in our family is that my Dad NEVER wears shoes! Ask anyone who knows him. No matter what the weather, rain or shine and yes even snow my pasco is barefooted! This is a picture of his massive size 14 footprint in the snow. It wasn't until a day or so ago, it dawned on me that he probably doesn't wear shoes because he can't find any that fit! Poor guy! Santa, can you please bring my Dad some comfy shoes this year?!

Home Sweet Home

Here is the home that we are renting. We really like it here and are hoping to stay here while we ride out the realestate market in Las Vegas.

First Snow...but not the last!

Last night my girls tried out their snow suits. Well, Rachel doesn't have one yet, but that didn't stop her. She rigged up her own little get-up and she looked awesome! You gotta love the boots, who needs snow pants with those babies?!

This is Rachels first snowy winter ever, she isn't quite sure what to make of it. Three years in Vegas with no snow, I think we are all trying to figure out what we think of it! BRRRRRRRRRR!!

Still Back Trackin....

Look at these girls! They had a lot of fun trick-or-treating with their Aunt Kaitlin. Maddie was a dead zombie bride, Michelle was a penguin and Rachel was a bunny. Maddie looked really scary, I will try to get her to be something very cute and fluffy next year!

Double the trouble!!

Happy Halloween and Happy 4th Birthday Michelle!!

Michelle is our little "ghoul," born on Halloween. She decided to be a little Penguin this year! She looked so cute, if only you could see her do her penguin dance!

We celebrated her birthday at Grandama Nets house by eating Michelle's favorite food...Pizza! After dinner we went trick-or-treating, it was really cold!! Afterwards we came back to grandmas for cake and icecream and presants! It was a double dose of fun!

Rachel's 2nd Birthday...

So now that I am "plugged in," I feel like I have some catching up to do. Not too much but at least back to October.

October is always crazy for us, with birthdays and Halloween and a combination of both, but we survived and managed to have fun doing it.

So first off little Rachel Paige, she had her 2nd birthday on Oct.18th. She is obssessed with babies as much as my other two are obsessed with animals. So what was her favorite gift...you got it, a baby. Unfortunately that was the first gift she openend, so the others all paled in comparison.

Thanksgiving has come and gone....

I can't believe Thanksgiving is already over! I love all the hype in preparing for the holidays, but it's kinda a let down when it's all over.

This year, I had this brilliant idea to try and get my mom's side of the family all together. So I took my idea to my Aunt who makes it all happen and voila, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving with over 50 family members at a church and lots of yummy food!

Did you know that the average amount of food consumed on Thanksgiving is 4500 calories?! I also heard that the average weight gained over this particular holiday is 7 lbs! I haven't ventured toward the scale yet, but with the number of orange rolls I consumed it ain't gonna be pretty!

I wanted to wish you all a Happy belated Thanksgiving!!!

Plugged In

I have been inspired to join the rest of you in the world of blogging! I am not blogging savvy so have patience with me as I figure this out.
