field trips galore!!

Trevor and Corbin both went to the same field trip in one week...just on different days. I get major mom points for going to the Planetarium TWICE last week!  Ok, plus I just really like to spend time with my kids AND I LOVE the Planetarium.  The teacher was a little perplexed when he saw me the second time that week and gave me the, "Weren't you just here?" speech.  I LOVE the planetarium!!  And I love my kids!

Ashlyn's birthday at school

Most adorable thing ever.  Ashlyn's teacher, Mrs. Bates, is amazing.  And that is an understatement.  She is organized and loving and very thoughtful and knows each of her kids needs.  I cannot say enough good things.  For each child's birthday she does a special thing.  She has the birthday child wear a cute cake hat, then she has them sit at the front of the room while the rest of the class tells this fun story about her. It is so cute.  If the video weren't so long I would post it!  Then she has everyone sing a special happy birthday to the birthday child while the birthday kid dances...video below  I LOVED IT!!
I know she felt loved and special.

Ashlyn's note to dad

Ashlyn left a note to Dave and had me put in on the fridge for when he returned from a business trip.  After being gone for only 3 hours Ashlyn wrote,

"Dear Dad,
I miss you already.
love, Ashlyn"

It was so cute!!  She was so sad Dave was gone for a couple of days.  Dave and I got the biggest kick out of the note because the last time that he left for a business trip she didn't notice that he was gone until after 3 days! Haha!  On the third day of his trip she finally asked, "Hey mom, where is Dad?"

What do these pictures have in common?

These are all pictures of the places Corbin used to hide his toothbrush equipment!  In one spot he kept his toothbrush, in another spot he kept his floss and in another he kept his toothpaste.

Holy moly.  Corbin is obsessed with his teeth.  He got special floss, toothpaste and toothbrush from an assembly at school (thank you Lacey Cope and the CADA program!) and he seriously hides them all in different spots throughout our house so that the other kids will not find them and use them (as if! :) Ha!)  He makes Trevor and Ashlyn leave the room so that he can put them back in their spots every night without them seeing him so that they won't know where he keeps them.  Such a funny kid.  He asked me to hang this poster in our bathroom.  He cracks me up!
