2020

Happy New Year! In an effort to simplify my life and focus on the most important things, I think I am finally going to end this blog that I've been keeping up for almost 12 years! I don't know if anyone even looks at blogs anymore, but I always loved keeping it as a quick snapshot of our lives. Since I have multiple other places for record keeping I don't feel like this one is necessary anymore. I may update it with major life events or future moves, but maybe not. If you want to keep in touch or contact me in any way, you can follow me on Instagram (@catgedge) or email me (cmgedge at hotmail). ❤❤❤

December

Merry Christmas! Our month was full of holiday prep, fun events, music, and family traditions. We loved being able to visit the Giving Machine in Las Vegas. The weather is nice and warm here in the winter, and I'm not complaining! Matthew & Anna graduated to purple belts in karate this month, too!

Christmas day was relaxing and happy. We didn't do many gifts because of our no-buying challenge we've been doing, but Santa brought a couple things and we loved making things for each other. Our big gift was a trip to NYC next April for spring break. We are so excited!

After Christmas we headed up to Utah to spend some time with our families. We saw lots of movies, sang in church, played with cousins, and ate lots of good food. It was a great trip, as always!

I can't believe how fast 2019 went. The days were long and busy sometimes, but the weeks and months were short and time flew by. We have loved living in Las Vegas and settling into our home, school, and ward. We are so thankful for our many blessings this year!

November

ImageImage
We started out November with a trip up to Utah for cousin Grey's baptism. We love living close enough to be at these family events more often! We had a wonderful weekend with family, as always.

We got to go to the Air Show on base at Nellis, and see the Thunderbirds fly. It was really cool!

We made a couple of visits to the temple this month, and we are grateful it is back open after being closed for a few months! We also got a patio cover on the back of our house and it is my favorite. :)

We spent a snowy Thanksgiving in Duck Creek with all the Gedges. It was a lovely few days, and I am so thankful to be part of this family. We feel very blessed and grateful. It was a wonderful November!

October

October was fabulous and full of friends and family! The weather was beautiful and we spent a lot of time outside hiking, playing at parks, and even a little swimming!
ImageImageImage
We went hiking and repelling at the Valley of Fire with cousins and it was so much fun! We also finally visited Red Rock Canyon to do some hiking. We loved sharing our home with all our visitors, and are so glad the Allens, Hunters, & Gedges could come and stay with us! We also kept busy with school, Halloween activities, karate, and lots of other fun stuff.

September

Image
September was jam packed with activities and visitors and family time and church stuff. It flew by so fast! The weather sure was nice, too!

Megan, Kyle, Grey & Bo came to visit us and we had a wonderful weekend! We went hiking and swimming and loved every minute with them.

The next weekend we headed up to Utah for a quick trip. We got to help at the farmer's market, and we loved seeing some dear friends at a wedding. Can't believe it has been 3 years since we were all together in England!
ImageImageImage
Matthew finished reading the Book of Mormon, so he earned a YES day where he got to choose what we did all day. We had so much fun together and enjoyed celebrating his accomplishment!

I'm so excited for October! We've got lots of fun things to look forward to, and hopefully some time to relax in there, too!
