Corrie Befort is an inter-media artist, translating sensation-based ideas into performances, films, objects, sets and inclusive pedagogy. Formerly based out of Seattle and Tokyo/Yokohama, she currently works from the Palouse in Eastern Washington.
Loess, March-May 2026, is an evolving multi-gallery sculptural installation and performance series rendering an unreliable landscape and the bodies therein. Commissioned by Moscow Contemporary galleries through The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, this is the current iteration of Befort’s long-form project Unnamed Shapes.
