The Reason...

We made it to Idaho... I am sorry I haven't kept up with this blog. It has been a crazy whirlwind this year. In September we were told that they were going to end treatment for Cobi's mom, Robbie. We rushed out to Idaho to see her thinking it would be our last. We got to visit with her and the kids got to spend time with her. It was nice. We decided that we were going to move here as soon as our house sold. We sold and closed (a miracle in this market) and were able to arrive right before Thanksgiving. We got to spend a couple of weeks with Robbie before she passed away yesterday in the hospital. The kids are doing okay. Preston understands that Grandma went to Heaven to see Alexa. We went up to the hospital yesterday to see her at peace. It is strange being here in her home without her. She would want us to keep things as normal as possible for the kids. So I guess we will put up the Christmas tree and decorations to honor her memory. So this was the reason we moved here to spend time with Robbie knowing she didn't have much time, to take care of her husband and hope that having the kids around would give him a reason to smile. It is bitter sweet, She was suffering soooo much and now she is gone but isn't suffering. I am glad we are here and are able to help. It has been a rough year but we are definately here for a reason.

GO COWBOYS!!!

This year for my big 33 we went to a pre season Dallas Cowboys game. Preston has been bugging us for a very long time to be able to go... We got tickets on stub hub (we paid more to park at the game then we did to actually attend the game.. I won't even mention the fortune paid on food :) It was a great experience we even got to see Tony Romo play... that was the highlight for Preston...

I guess I should mention that the Cowboys game wasn't the only thing I got for my birthday.. I went with Cobi August 2nd to the Brad Paisley Concert.. ( Might I mention.. It was my FIRST CONCERT EVER!! It was quite the experience. I think I learned that I am too old.. my neck hurt from looking up at the screens... my head hurt from the noise... my butt hurt from sitting.. and my feet hurt from standing sooo long. I think I now understand why concerts are for the young... haha)

I'm Back!!

I know it has been FOREVER since I have posted new pictures... We went to Idaho for a week vacation... (see above) We had a GREAT time. We got to visit with family and friends. We chose the coldest week of the season...BRRR. Unfortunately Preston and Adyson both decided to catch the flu the morning before we flew home. We had to deal with vomiting and then diarreah for 2 weeks. They finally decided to treat Preston for a parasite because he wasn't improving... Luckily that worked and I am no longer elbow deep in YUCK!!!
