busy day
Ari and I were outta of the house at 5 am this morning to do a race in Glenwood Springs. We arrived early and I was able to close my eyes for a few minutes before she had to warm up. We arrived to the start line 15 minutes early, and I was asked if I was going to race with the kids. Uhhmm… Sure, I said. It was great watching these girls go off! Me and Ryan (the Black Sheep head coach) lead out these girls through 1 1/2 mile neutral start.
Looking back at the junior women racers, the older ones were in the back of the pack.
A view from the race course. The weather was absolutely perfect!
Ari as she passed me. A took a few photos then tried to sprint ahead, but she was surprisingly fast! I didn’t get her coming through the finish!
It is great how she gets along with the other girls and fits right in.
I was dog-sitting Grendel and he was making friends fast. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called him Porter!
Afterwards, we hit Qdoba for some burritos then went swimming in the hot springs! I have never been there, and I kinda know why: it isn’t cheap!
Ari also got a pass to do the water slides!
After a soak, I headed over to Keystone where I picked up my mum’s broken bike. While we were there, I couldn’t help but run the dogs in the nearby pond.
That Grendel! How does he run when his paws don’t touch the ground? See Ginger in mid-shake…
A little dip in Keystone!
Loveland Pass look speckled and spotted like a paint horse, as the dirt is showing through…

I hardly recognize Ari, she’s growing up too fast! Looks like you’re having a great time “adjusting” to CO. 🙂
