Let it snow!

It finally snowed last weekend and Sam went crazy about it!!! He thought it was the coolest stuff in the world! We had to go buy snow shovels too, (seeing as we have to shovel ourselves this year) so Clint and Sam could shovel our driveway. Sam loves to be a helper, especially if it is helping dad, he says "I help?" He was so funny to watch, he would shovel a little then take a break and eat some snow.

*Let me just add that yesterday I shoveled all by myself.....It was the first time I have EVER shoveled, it took me 1 1/2 hours, but I did it!!

We had to move to the back yard, so I could watch him from inside. It is too cold for me!!

Batman bed

So, I made Sam have a bad habit.....Since Clint is gone all the time I let Sam just sleep with me, well now that we are in our house he needs to go back to sleeping in his bed. So I bought him a new big boy bed and got him batman sheets. He loves batman, he even sings the batman song. (dun nun nun nun nun nun nun nun batman) Its funny, anyways I decided to make a theme of his first night in his bed. I washed and put his sheets on his bed and got him batman jammies, with a cape and we ate batman fruit snacks.

He made it through his first night, cried twice but never got out of his bed. We are on to night #3 now and Clint has left again. Hopefully, I dont just cave and let him sleep with me..... What a hard habit to break! Way to go Danielle

There's no place like home!!!

There is no place like home for the holidays!! Clint and I just purchased a home!! We moved in the day after Thanksgiving! It has been a LONG process and I didnt want to post this until it was official. (Even though we moved in it still wasn't official, long story)

Saturday we closed and are finally planting our roots! I never want to move again!!! (this move was #8) We absolutely love the house, so does Sam. He always says hi house or bye house. He really loved seeing all his old toys from storage! The people also left us their 55 gallon fish tank with 3 fish. Sam named them Nemo, Mcqueen and Buzz. He loves them, me eh not so much. (They kinda freak me out to feed them, no way am I gonna stick my hand in there to clean it.)

Anways, I finished finals last week, so this week I am trying to get things all put away. I have lots of projects in mind and can't wait to get started!!

Sorry the only picture I have is at night.....I will post pictures of the inside as soon as it is not chaotic! I do however have my tree up!!!

Thanksgiving

Ok OK so I am a little late at posting about thanksgiving! Since now it is almost time for Christmas!! We went to my parents house this year! We had lots of fun hangin out, Sam loved playin football and riding in the back field. I had to go to work after we ate, but came back to spend the night with my mom and sister. We of course went shopping the next day, 3 am came really fast!! They are the greatest! I love those gals!
Sam being the official taste testerSam and Dakota....He didnt want to get off and share, so Clint had to get the 4wheeler out. Such spoiled grandkids, they were even washed/polished and put up for the winter!!Sam pretty much was Dakota's shadow.......Kota is such a cute kid, we love him lots!!!!

We had our family pictures taken on Friday. We went to Union Station in Ogden. We had such a great photographer! We had a bit of a rough night, so Sam was such a STINKER!! To say the least. We went to the New Kids concert last night........AMAZING! They were all so cute! I use to be a Joey fan, but I think I have switched to Donnie! He was incredible last night. They did all their old dance moves too! It was magical! I felt like a make a wish kid! Me and Debbie! My cousin Shannon and her neighbor Shannon.

Halloween take II

My mom had a halloween party on Saturday. She planned some fun games and made really good food. Clint had to work that day so he missed out on all the fun. Kota and Matt were not there either, we missed them!

Halloween!

Halloween! What a fun night! We had a party at Nana Layton's house and then went trick-or-treating. Sam loved the first couple of houses! Then, he was done. He didnt wanna walk or ride in the stroller. He just wanted mom to carry him. It was still a good night though. Clint and I dressed up this year too. He was Frankenstein and I was the bride. It was fun!

Sam would not keep his hood up at all. I am lucky he even kept the costume on.

All about Sammy!

Sam was tagged by Maria and so here are 5 things that you may or may not know about my Sammy!

1) Sam was our little miracle baby. After years of infertility, we tried in-vitro. Our first attempt ended in a miscarriage and 6 months later we decided to try again with a frozen cycle. I first thought I had miscarried again but went in for an ultrasound and saw his strong heartbeat!! He has been an amazing blessing ever since!

2) Sam is a tomato freak! He loves tomatoes, he eats them just like apples. His grandpas had to watch out in their gardens because he would go pick them and eat em.

3) Sam is a mommas boy! If I am sad or crying he will touch my cheek and say Mom? K? Sam always makes me feel better! He is a little tender heart. He also has to stroke my hair anytime he feels scared or nervous. I think he just likes to know I am there. We have a special bond....

4) Sam loves to sleep, he has slept through the night since he was 5 weeks old. He always took naps good for me too. If he doesnt get a nap, Watch Out!! Until recently he has always slept in his crib too! I made him have the bad habit of sleeping with me. Now he wont get in his crib at all. Sorry Clint

5) Sam LOVES all his cousins. He loves to chase them around and just be with them. He really likes to do what the big kids are doing. Although he does not like to share his favorite Buzz Lightyear toys....He gets excited anytime we tell him they are coming over or we are going to see them. We often use it as a bribe.

Sam is such a wonderful little boy! He makes me laugh and smile everyday! He is so full of energy and loves to play & explore. Plus, he is so stinkin cute! I love kissin that boy and squishin his bum!!! We are so grateful to be his parents!

A Beautiful Fall day!

Sunday after church, all the kids were outside playing in the leaves. Sam thought it was hilarious!! It was such a nice day, I wish it would last like this until Christmas!
This picture cracks me up! These two are quite the pair. They are always making sure the other is well taken care of. Sam has to have Canon with him all the time, if he isnt then he is asking where he is. They also get into some trouble together. One night, they were found in the bathroom fishing. One had the plunger and the other had the toliet brush. There was toliet paper and water everywhere!! It was naughty and gross, but ya couldnt help but laugh at them. I wish I had a picture of it.
Connor,Sam and Kenna. They are so cute with Sam. He loves having them around. I guess it "might" be time for him to have a brother or sister!

This Is The Place!!

Saturday we decided to go to the zoo! When we got there, it was CRAZY busy! So we decided to go to This is the Place monument. The little houses and buildings are closed up for winter, but they have a train that takes you through the "haunted village". It was actually really fun, Sam loved the train ride. After that we decided to go to trolley square and eat a Rodizio Grill....Oh my gosh! It is so yummy! They bring out all kinds of meat to your table and they have a big salad bar area too....Clint was in meat heaven! Sam slept the whole time, so it was like we were on a date! Which was kinda nice!

It was such an amazing feeling standing where Brigham Young stood do many years ago and looking down on the valley.

I have really been interested in Jospeh Smith and Emma Smith lately. Stephaine did an amazing lesson in R.S a couple weeks ago and I just found myself relating. He was such a wonderful man, I am so thankful for everything he went through and endured!

Im so glad when Daddy comes home!

Painting those Pumpkins!!

We decided Sam could paint a pumpkin better than he could carve one! I think it was more fun and actually less messy! We all made masterpieces!

Carson,Kayla and Canon came and helped paint some pumpkins too! We had grandma come out and make a fire too! We ended up having quite the little party that night! It was lots of fun!!!

Last weekend we went to Black Island farm for some fun fall festivities! I love doing the hayride and picking out our pumpkins! It is our little family tradition. This farm was way fun because they had all kinds of stuff to do.......

We thought Sam would be afraid of the slides, but I guess only little small ones scare him! He loved going down the slides and climbing up the hay! Having a broken bone doesnt slow this boy down!!!
