Hi! I’m Becca, and I’m a stay-at-home mom (who substitute teaches here and there, because who doesn’t love money?) to my gorgeous CF Warrior, Judith, who also happens to have high-functioning Autism. I’m kind of nerdy, have a bubbly personality, love sarcasm and snark, and enjoy relaxing with a good book or video game. I have my degree in Music Education, although I’m not doing a lot of teaching these days because I’m really busy at home.
John is my husband, and he’s a great guy and a great dad. He currently works as a banker and as a church musician (organist, director of music… he does it all!).
We have 2 senior Boston Terriers, Buster and Lady, whom we adopted from the Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue in 2009. They are our first babies, and help keep things interesting around here.
Judith is our Warrior with a long story. She was born prematurely at 29 weeks, spent 2 months in the NICU, and had a few complications including a Meconium Ielius and a late-onset Group B strep infection with sepsis. She was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in April 2011, and got the educational diagnosis of autism in April 2015. We’re currently wait-listed to see a developmental pediatrician for the medical diagnosis.
