Indeed. He knows all your thoughts, your emotions and your motives. Unless you come clean and honest with the Lord, the God of your heart, mind and body, you wont be able to embrace the peace that He so wants to grant you. As i look back and think of all the troubles and major heartaches that i had, it is God who brought me out of them. I confidently say that God listens when i say my prayers, and He answers them in His own time and reasons. Sometimes He just wants us to see His perspective, and everything else will fall into place. Because His ways are way higher than ours, we will never fully understand what He wants to do with our lives unless we commit and trust Him for the directions. Sometimes it means for us to give up something, and unless you give it up to Him, you will never see His work in your life. I want to seek His will in my life, and i am willing to go through everything to see His glory and power revealed right here in my life. Whatever regret, whatever heartache, whatever dissapointment, whatever worry, whatever emotion, i lay it at Your feet. This is my act of worship. This is my prayer. This is my cross.

okay im pretty tired now.. due to the weird things we do to have fun on freedays.. haha.. a month has passed for REAL and our 2 beloved brothers has left us.. not dead but to go to school.. shavinn and yiqing! we are so sadded. . . . . not because they left the team but because WE WILL MISS THEM!!! :'( we are so sadded also because roger federer lost the australian open.. okay i have been having this awful problem in sleeping soundly for the past few nights and it's starting to get kinda serious already.. i need prayer for good rest because we are gonna be busy planning for REAL stuff..

Sometimes i have too many things to ponder about in life, and too little time to reconstruct them in my mind. God has really worked in some unexplainable forms to me. Thanks to a chat online with kennaf that i have posted this. =) parts of it is actually some of his sharing too.
I was just reading this christian novel "Not My Will" and i realised how "worldly desires" can pull us away from Him.. and these "world desires" arent just like pleasures of the earth and things like drinking, lust, materialism, wealth.. but are also like ambitions, work and care. It's hard to say that we totally surrender to Christ when sometimes we are caught up with work and personal goals that does not have His hand in them.. even like caring for others to gain more friends and more connections.. i think it really struck me how much i really am taking up the cross to follow Him.. it's more internal than the external that shows our ambition. It's very easy to lose sight of God in the picture. It's the most unconscious of the heart to get caught up with ambitions and work. It's like when reality gets magnified such that God is left behind. Perhaps that's why the bible says to renew our minds daily. Living day to day by his mercy. Living on His bread daily.
Recently through prayer, i realised how He really works wonders. These "wonders" are like just simple things like making me feel much better, healing my headache, helping me get His perspective of things, and tapping into His will and power. I realised how simple a prayer can be.. praying for a very simple thing like helping me find something or helping me speak the right things to another person. Simple prayers help us depend on Him more, and there's no such thing as a prayer too small for God to bother. He really can answer our really really big prayers if He actually bothers about our little ones.. the small things really remind me that God is interested in everything. It makes me more aware of who he is in my life. Ps Ronald mentioned something like this during service: when your spirit is alive, you will notice God more and different from before. I think we all have little areas of our life that God has yet visited. It reminds me that it's how much WE let him in rather than HE himself.
It is my prayer to have the compassion for people who have yet tasted the works of our Almighty God, and to have the passion to impact them. And i know it would be the prayer of many of you out there who have just read this post.

this is when we were publicising for our ice-cream buffet outside swiss cottage!!
the past 2 weeks have been really a blast! but the days passed so fast like changing underwear! this is gonna be a really long post. i'm currently reading "Pray Big" by Will Davis Jr. and "Not My Will" by Francena H.ARNOLD. "Spiritual Leadership" by the Blackabys is still waiting patiently on my desk for me to start. Reading has never been my hobby and i dont usually read often(i'm ashamed!)... haha.. so this time i really need discipline to complete the books.. i've learnt pretty much from the first few chapters already!
the bible overview classes by Ps Peter Soh on thurday morns are cool and helpful to understand the bible better! i realised how little i know about the bible(i'm ashamed again)! so i began to understand the languages used, the timelines, geography of places, and the context in which was written. so far the 2 classes were heavy heavy heavy for our piuny brains! haha but Ps Soh's good in teaching us! pretty interesting guy =) and he really knows the bible inside out!
Contact Work has been really cool! we gotta talk with more swiss cottage students and inviting them for our event on 28-30 jan! "FREE ICE-CREAM BUFFET!!!" Like seriously, where can you find free ice-cream buffets? a dozen flavours! okay so REAL program has really kept us busy busy busy... and planning for our evangelistic event up ahead too is really trying and tiring! we really need God to intervene and show His GREATNESS! Unless the Lord builds the house, the labourers labour in vain. Indeed we rely on Him for everything.
MISSION TRIP!!!
my first mission trip! God really opened my eyes to see the people's lives there.. and all of us agree that we're super duper fortunate here in spore. our levels of life indeed are worlds apart, yet we still worship the same great God. Isnt it amazing? i was really touched by the young children worshipping the Lord with all their heart! raising their hands and singing at the top of their voices(i really mean at the top of their voices!)! they're so cute.. i love carrying them! they're so loving! sharing to a cell group of women and girls with an interpreter was certainly a challenge and an experience! many cats and dogs in the village.. and mosquitoes too! some of them get fried and burst into flames in the wires of a bat they have.. haahhaha! you see like sparks! cool tool to kill them! we visited the slums and had a great time talking to them and praying for them. we got to know their lives better as we talk about their needs and worries, what they do and about their family.. on the last day keith and i went to give out flyers to the shophouses and houses.. Ali went with us! hahaha Ali is a really cool and funny guy.. he says he has a charm and a light that he cannot hide! lol. and he's got a talent of talking too much! lol. i like his phrase "no one can deny!" haha cos he says we're the best! no one can deny! and then one time he said you listen to us jokingly, "im your boss. haha. oh no no, boss up there!! sorry sorry.." The bible school students really treated us well and were very hospitable! i miss them.. Ben, Dolly and Thomas were those who i travelled with most of the time.. and Ps Sara Sapan!

Sometimes when you hate this world and feel like leaving it, there's always a hand you can always hold. God will always be there for you no matter what. your friends might leave you, but God would never leave you. So if you are lonely and feel like no one's there, open your heart to Him, and He will be there for you. Life can be so meaningless. It can be a burden to you. It sometimes is for me, and i can understand you might be feeling this way at this point of time. You dont have a direction and feel lost in life. What is life anyway? A passing stage on earth, and after death to meet your maker in heaven, where you will spend eternity without pain, just worshipping him and staying by his side. have faith my friends, for we live by faith and not by sight. =) smile. It would be so much easier this way.
We can always be each other's listening ear and a hand to hold. But are we willing?

Ps Ester joined us today at Real! God really moved through us during worship and prayer. His presence was awesome! Just the few of us, our voices, hearts and God with us. I was also estatic to get a word from God! It's a thin white line in the middle of all the blackness, and God telling us to keep our eyes focused on following Him. We might not find the narrow path again if we take our eyes off Him, the author and perfector of our faith. Today was a rather relaxing and enriching time for us as we continued our contact work and made more swiss cottage friends.. :):):) Our colour code was green! Ps Ester appeared in green too! :):):) God really opened our eyes today to bless the community. It's amazing how He works. A simple smile and nice gesture can really make a person happy. It's not our professionalism or formality of job that works, but our sincerity, down-to-earthness and God's favour upon us that can touch lives and bless others. Seeds that are planted can grow and when the time is right they will be fit for harvest. =) Cheers.

Hello one and all! I've embarked on a very important mission to revive my blog!
Well. Real has just started and Lock-In Camp was awesome! I learnt some pretty cool stuff and bonded more with the REAL team! First of all, I both look forward to my time spent in REAL but also face some form of uncertainty that occasionally haunts me. The upcoming A' Level results and the enlisting into NS in april. But one thing i know is that i can trust God and lean on Him in these times when i worry. Do not worry about tmr, for tmr will worry about itself. I trust that my path is right before Him even though i dont see it clearly.
We planned and went out to swiss cottage and dunearn sec sch for our contact work! There were both encouraging experiences and challenges we faced but all in all i thank God for what He has shown and taught us today. I believe that as long as you place all your anxieties and fears into His hands, He will deliver you from them and you will be changed! =) It is really a personal encounter with God, and how He is by my side each time I step out to do something out of my comfort zone for Him. The REAL team consists of myself, keith, shavinn, samuel, yi qing, cheryl, melody and gladys. Amazingly, the team that so far have no conflicts and are in harmony with each other! I really thank God for them. We will never walk alone. With our Heavenly Father leading the way, we look ahead with excitement and passion. Cheers!
