Allyson Tatum Chambers!!!

Welcome to the world Allyson!!! We are so madly in love with you!!!
7 lbs & 18 1/2 inches

It was quite the journey over the past few months...12 weeks of home bed rest followed by 25 days of hospital bed rest. Praise God that Allyson arrived healthy at 38 weeks and my body, although extremely weak is back to it's healthy state, as far as my blood pressure goes. Allyson's labor was by far my hardest yet, I will spare all the details, personally I hope to forget them myself, but it was a long ole painful and kind of scary at moments day. We are home and it feels sooooo good to be here as a family of 5! Kathryn & Lauren are absolutely head over heels in love with her. Her Daddy & I, well we stare into her eyes and can't even imagine our lives before her. To have 3 beautiful girls, is such an incredible blessing & we are so thankful to God for them!

Rocky is AMAZING!!! She was my labor nurse with Lauren and we have kept in touch with her over the last 4 years. To say she left such an impact on me then, doesn't quite explain it. As soon we found out we were expecting, we let her know she HAD to be there. As it got closer she would check in on me and even though she was off the day of my induction, she came into work just for me & assured me she was not leaving my side until I had her. I still get teary eyed when I think of what she did for me. She is just one of those you want by your side! I truly just don't have the words to explain how much she means to us! Monday was a rough day and she was right there beside me for every part cheering me on and I truly believe the day would not have ended with a vaginal birth if she had not been there. She will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Oh Dr. Robins, how I adore him so much too! He is my amazing Dr & I am very thankful for the care he has given me and for bringing another one of my beautiful children into the world! I have seen him SO much this pregnancy, every day while I was in the hospital in fact. I am going to miss seeing him! My health and Allyson's health were always his top priority & while sometimes I gave him grief for his decisions, I am so thankful he was on our side & kept us both safe & healthy! He too will always hold a special place in our hearts!

We came home Wednesday & I can not even explain the overwhelming feeling riding in the car and then walking my house after being gone for a month. It was such a great feeling! I have no desire to leave here for a while, there is no place like home! I am still very weak & sore, but doing better every day. My Dr and the nurses said it will take time and each day just try to walk around a little more. Allyson is nursing like a rockstar & is such an awesome, calm baby! We take her in for a weight & jaundice check tomorrow. We have been doing a little sun in the window time, just in case. Both of her big sisters had jaundice and we are trying to beat it ahead just in case. Thank you all for your calls, emails, texts...it means so much to us! Hopefully in the next couple of days, we will be up to company & we can show our sweet girl off!

Ally at 36/4!

We got to see our littlest bundle of love today! Allyson looks PERFECT & my fluid, placenta, cord, everything looks perfect! She passed her bio-physical profile 8 out of 8. She is breathing great & all of her organ functions look wonderful! She is weighing in at a whopping 7lbs. The sonographer said 6lbs of that is her body & 1lb is her cheeks. They were so chubby, they were practically drooping down. It was beyond precious!!! As usual she has feet on top of her head, but is still head down. We could see all of her little toes & one set of her toes looked like they were in her eye. Silly girl! Part of this pic has the cord in front of her & the one showing her toes the girls took home with them, but you can get the jist of her precious little face! I can't wait to kiss all over this chubby little face!!!
BIG news...we have an official induction date set! Yippee!
It is April 23rd, in just 11 days my sweet baby girl will be in my arms!!!

Easter!

This Easter will definitely be one that we won't forget! While it was not ideal, it turned out to be a really nice day for our family! Josh brought their Easter baskets and goodies up here for them to get Easter morning! Their faces were precious when they came in! They were so happy with what the Easter bunny, ok Mommy & Daddy left them. We've told them the truth about the bunny! My wonderful mom prepared us a yummy lunch of ham, hash brown casserole, green beans, rolls & dessert. She dropped it off nice & warm & the 4 of us were able to still enjoy a traditional Easter meal together. The Dr that was on call this weekend was so sweet & gave me wheelchair privileges for the day. It was such a nice surprise! So after lunch, they loaded me up & off we went exploring around the hospital. We were gone almost an hour & it was just so wonderful being out even if I was still confined to the hospital. We came back to the room and the girls hid in the bathroom while Josh hid eggs for them. It was sweet to watch them get so giddy & excited over candy! It really was a nice day with my precious girls! Kathryn reminded us that this time next year we will be chasing either a crawling or walking baby around. I can't wait!!! I sure do love those sweet girls of mine!

The other wonderful thing that happened yesterday was I turned 36 weeks!
Woo-hoo! I feel like the train going up the hill, 'I think I can, I think I can!'

Josh called my belly yesterday 'a cute, big, pink Easter egg'.
So here it is for all to see at exactly 36 weeks!

Darla!!!

My sweet Darla came to see me at the hospital today! I can not even describe how much joy she brought to me! She is allowed to come see me every day for 2 hours, I know it won't get to happen
every day, but what a treat!
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
She was so awesome & well behaved! I was afraid the people, environment might make her nervous, but nope! She laid in bed & snuggled with me & I LOVED every single minute of it! Such a stress reliever & blood pressure reducer...ahhh!

She snuggled up against my leg & belly & about fell asleep just like she would at home!

And then my 2 non furry loves surprised me after being in Tyler for 2 days & oh, so much overwhelming joy again!!! Sometimes I think they just love visiting me for the fridge stocked full of ice cream, popsicles & sprite...ha!

My baby shower!

I got to have my baby shower yesterday here at the hospital and even got 'social' privelages to have it in a room upstairs. It was such a sweet time shared with my sweet girls, good friends, my sister in laws & my mom. I got so many wonderful things, I was blown away & had yummy food! Now all we need to complete our baby gear is our BABY GIRL! We are ready for her whenever she is!
